Take a pine cone and wrap a wax wick around it...then dip the pine cone in different colored and scented melted wax..dip 3 times . These makes terrific fire starters...a great gift too
I would paint the black or dark brown do they don't stand out to much. The fabric you used looks more primitive so a darker color will look better I think
Super nice 👍, but I don't have time and am not too patient, haha. So I'm thinking do you think I could try with colorful tissue. Same method but instead of fabric ,using tissue???
im trying to make leopard/cheetah print fabric but not sure if cutting in strips would ruin the print, you know. Have you tried centering a blub on a square piece of fabric then gluing it on? like bringing the fabric up around it instead of strips? Idk lol trying to figure out if thatll give it too much of a wrinkled look.
Try taking a rubber band or piece of string or wire and wrist around the end where you would insert the hook to hang it on the tree. You can add as many as you need and it will help keep the fabric from slipping off of the ornament. You can remove or simply cut it off, if you used red or colored complementary yarn just leave it in place as part of the decorative finish. Then tie a piece of lace or something similar to hide the string, yarn or wire. It’s very simple. We would use spray glue to cover the outside of the ornament. Let dry a little so that it gets tacky sticky but not too much, cover with the fabric and only after it’s dried cover it in mod fabric glue on top of the fabric to seal it. You can also use decorative wrapping paper instead of fabric! Napkins work too anything with a Christmas design on it. We make Halloween decorative ornaments for our Halloween tree instead of a Christmas tree and leave it out until January!
I made these when I was in 4th grade, 1974. My mom still hangs them on our tree..
black with gold would look more vintage on caps.
Leave it silver... Silver is evergreen ❤
I would paint gold they are beautiful though also as is. Have always wanted to try this and paint pours inside.
Normally I would say gold, but the silver looks more appropriate for the fabric.

MUCHAS GRACIAS Y MUY FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!
¡Muchas gracias! Feliz Navidad a ti también! ❤️
Paint some of the caps gold and leave the rest silver.
It seems like you could recycle some old with this technique. They're adorable.
You definitely could! I’m glad you like them.
I prefer silver, but they’re in your house, so whatever works best with your decor.
They are very cute, I’d love some for my house!
These ARE adorable!

They would, I’m glad you think so! 😊
this is so cool. really cute!!❤
This also works well with spray Modpodge. Saturate the strips before applying to the ornament
Great tip, thank you so much!
Now that sounds like my way because I need the fast forward 😆 thanks for sharing
Gold
Paint them gold if it will match your other Christmas decor!
You can always use styrofoam balls. Then ,a "u" needle with a hook to hang it.
Great idea 💛👍

I think the hook part would look good black.
We made these in 6th grade! Such a fun project 😊
Oh, you were so ahead of the trend! ❤️

I haven’t tried that, but I could definitely see it wrinkling a bit! Let me know if you end up trying and how it goes! ❤️
