Better team won on the night. Clear handball or not, they just played better and the best of luck to Luton going forward. No hard feelings. I'm proud of what Sunderland have done this season. No centre forwards and no defenders fit at the end of the season and still hit the playoffs and made a good go of it, in our first season back. Nothing but positive feelings towards the side.

@Tom C - How does a dirty team deserve their chance in top league ? Mon noo Tam . their team are dirty and Sunderland deserved a pen in 1st half and never received . As a said though Var should be used withinthe bigger games at least like them are .
@David Gemmell I think they deserve a chance. I also have reasons for disliking Luton, plus its someone different for a change. Plus, I don't like Sunderland, and I'm not particularly keen on Coventry. So, based on the process of elimination, boro or Luton would be my preference to go up.

Seen game at Sunderland and highlights here ..What Sunderland lack is some brute strength in their team , same as Celtic in Scotland lack ..Get that sorted out at back especially , and im sure Tony Mowbray shall have noted such being a cdefender himself at one time then Sunderland can do well next season and hopefully get back up where they belong . As for VAR should be used especially in big games like them are ..as in that first half guaranteed even if the Luton guy never meant his arm in the way of the ball.. Var would have given a penalty im sure for such to Sunderland ..but again its who checks Var ? which can be dodgy rangers in Scotland have had umpteen penalties whereas Celtic have had practically none and are the most attacking team . At 9:48 Luton have a similar one not given to them, the header comes off the defender's arm/hand before it's cleared off the line. Give one, you have to give both. Football is a better sport for both of those not being given.
Oh the irony of it. You seem to forget that a 'non' penalty (later admitted by the ref), earned you a point at your place. Which effectively got you a Play Off place. Sunderland are on their way back to the Prem, no doubt about it. But try and be a little more objective. Decisions went for and against both clubs over the two legs. Luton deserved to go through on balance.
