A lot of people say that Beck's at fault for a lot of the problems between him and Jade but I feel that he's biggest mistake is just liking the attention that other girls give him. It's Jades insecurity and just overall vindictive personality that causes most of the problems in her relationships with everyone.
Here's my perspective of their relationship, I do think it is toxic, but I also think there is more nuance that people don't seem to point out. Before I explain, no I do NOT think they belong together, I stated they are toxic for a reason. For me, I think Beck is easily the worst of the two in the relationship. When it comes to Jade, I've seen people question why does she date a man who's the most attractive guy if she's mad when other girls chase him. And to that, it actually makes sense. I consider Jade to be the most complex of the main cast, and while this doesn't excuse any of her flaws by any means, since she isn't perfect in the relationship, like at all. I think she puts more into it than Beck does with her. When it comes to Jade, there are various hints throughout the show that she is a very insecure individual, this is clearly shown through her and Beck's relationship upfront. Why would she date the most attractive guy in the school? So she can feel feel less secure about herself, as many hints dropped clearly convey this. When she and Beck break up and she comes crying to Tori Jade says "I don't want anyone cool to see me like this" and while one could see that as a jab toward Tori like Jade is one to do, for me it is Jade stating that she's insecure that if anyone saw her so vulnerable and broken up with the hottest guy it wouldn't look good for her. This also explains why Jade dislikes other girls around Beck, because it affects Jade's insecurities, which could be attributed to her home life, hinted in Wok Star. There's even a line Jade says at one point where someone asks "Beck can't hang out with girls" Jade says he can hang out with ugly girls. Notice she said UGLY and not, girls overall. What I dislike about this is that everyone treats Jade as if SHE is the toxic one and takes her rage and outbursts as "controlling" when in reality nobody is willing or addresses the actual problem. In fact Jade's approach to many situations are often more use of intimidating than outright brute. She even mentions at one point about ruining people's images. I also think she showcases her insecurity toward Tori, but displays it with rage. Disregarding other reasons Jade has for being jealous of Tori, she is kind of valid to be intimidated by her when it comes to Beck, since when they break up in Season 3, Beck seems to head over to Tori rather quickly. Instead the show will never acknowledge Beck's lack of support on Jade's insecurities or even lack of judgement. Since he never seems to sit down and address it. He just fights her anger with his own anger, which to me is a completely unhealthy way to respond to someone's issues. Again, Jade is toxic as well, but she has issues that aren't addressed. And even though there is that reason I stated with Jade dating Beck to help her own insecurities, I DO think she genuinely cares about him and for me, I always saw it as Jade loving Beck more, than Beck loving Jade. Even if you COULD see signs of Beck caring about Jade.
How does this make Beck the worse of the two? Even if Jade's insecure, that doesn't mean it's okay for her to treat everyone (LITERALLY EVERYONE) like garbage. People talk about how Beck didn't address Jade's issues but when they broke up the 2nd time he tried to talk to her and she wouldn't listen. Jade is for sure the toxic one in the relationship. She was mean, controlling and her insecurities made nothing that she did okay.
@@LeeTSimba I'm not saying she isn't toxic she is. I just think her insecurities needed to be addressed more, since how she expressed it was not right. I just don't think Beck is any better to help with that, he just makes it worse.

Nice trip down memory lane 👍
MY BELL NOTIFS ARE ON!
nice
Jade is a toxic gf honestly. The way she acted when all Beck did was give Tori advice.

Both should not date and go to therapy.
