Hi. I've just bought a Touran. I notice you have put the bed where I am planning to put mine, but have you removed the middle seat, our just folded it over.
Great video. Can I ask how you made those window blinds and how you managed to keep them in place? And the bed...was it a bit of foam you had or a single mattress etc?
Hi, I made the blinds out of cardboard, two layers. I made a rough template and then trimmed it down bit by bit to get a snug fit - then copied for the other side. I covered the cardboard in black out fabric bought from eBay. I used a glue gun. They just push into place, except for the rear which is in two parts - left and right. They are held in place by two wooden wedges I made - and the wedge goes in behind the seatbelt casing on the roof. If I open the boot it all falls down lol The bed uses two futons on top of each other - I got them from fb market place for £15 the pair and then washed the covers in the washing mashing 👍
Hi Gillian that’s a great Q. The middle 3 seats just pull out easy peasy. The boot seat unbolts with 4 fixings I think. I had to use a bit of old wood as a spacer for the remaining boot seat, to make it level. I keep all the spare seats under my bed!
Nice to see your use of the grab handles to support the front curtain rail - that's in my design too, so good to see it works.

@@known3909 Great stuff, thanks for that. You've done things on the cheap but also effective👍👍
Hi, What have you done with the middle row 3 seats and the rearmost left seat? Have you removed them completely and does this need special tools?

Thinking about getting a touran for this purpose. Do you not find the floor in the back too uneven and bumpy with the seats removed?
Hi, yes - some sort of flat surface is required 🙌
hi what mpg can you get on a run im thinking of getting one
It averages about 45mpg - on the motorway it gets about 60mpg
Yikes!
