Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

If you wanna hear two sides of many from Band-Maid I recommend "Manners/Black Hole" live. Another great one would be "Domination" live version which was my first listen to this outstanding band.
Recently Band Maid released "Puzzle", the official live video. "Puzzle" is what I would call a right proper hard rock song.
They have a wide variety of songs through out their 10 years together, from heavy hitters to something more on the Pop Punk spectrum as this one. They're also one of the best live performances I've ever seen, and I've seen over 100 bands in concert.
Most of Band-Maids live performances are better than the studio versions ! I would suggest "Real Existence" Official Live or "Domination" Live ! These ladies play hard rock mostly but cover many styles of music ! Can't wait to see them next week at Daytona Beach Speedway =)

I'm a fan. They are about to start a tour in the US in like 2 days and I'll be at one of them shows. I love Band Maids music because I react similar to you i get all cheesy and bounce around. Many of their live performances are so good because it IS happy music and people feel joy from it. I recommend the official live video of "freedom".

my suggestion for something live would be their latest live release for "No God" oooooooorrrrrrrr check them out actually live, they are on tour in the US starting on the 14th. if they are playing a date near you i highly suggest seeing a show. i went last year and drive 13 hours to Houston Tx and it was totally worth it!

You are gonna hear a lot of Domination, Freedom, and a few others. As a metalhead, I really vibe with a lot with their newer stuff. They have really started leaning more into a bit of prog rock, and any song of theirs with a bass solo is gold, IMO. MISA MISA MISA!
They have plenty of live versions on their channel, listening to your outro tune would suggest "Puzzle" "Play" "Domination" or maybe if your adventurous the double header "Manners/Black Hole" two very different styles

BAND-MAID is a fav of mine. "Order" or "Thrill" are my songs I love. For me they are no bad songs.
MAIKO BAND is another good band if anyone likes BAND-MAID. BAND-MAID loves their fans.
Female fans are "Princesses". Male fans are "Masters". Concerts are "Servings". They live the gimmick.
Choose Me is as you say very catchy and a song to bop to. Just to add to what I suspect everyone else is saying, you cannot judge Band Maid on 1 song, a big part of their appeal for me is their incredible versatility and variety of songs.if you want heavy, they do that, if you want a ballad, they do that and if you want anything in between then there are songs for you. I don't have to read the other comments for what other songs people are recommending because I know they'll all be fantastic.
Oh this one is so good I've been meaning to look more into them for a while cuz I actually discovered them like a year ago when this song was featured in the HBO series Peacemaker 😅

Choose me is still my favorite, but I love a lot of them. Their title tracks are definitely more pop oriented heavy rock which I really appreciate. Also how they deliberately hired a professional vocalist who had no idea she was auditioning to a rock band instead of a pop group lool

Very fun reaction. My favorite genre is goth/industrial but I've become quite taken with Band-Maid. They're brilliant song-crafters, amazing performers, hyper-talented musicians and the most charming, interesting and kawaii humans I've ever seen off-stage. They don't do any goth/industrial as far as I know (but I'm new, I haven't heard every song yet). But they ARE metal-adjacent quite a bit. For instance: From Now On or Warning. If you watch the official lives of Domination, Freedom, Onset and Manners... I don't understand how they're not the biggest rock band in the world? Beyond that they're an incredibly deep pigeon-hole of amazing music, interviews and other content, po.

Not sure what type of music you usually listen to but these ladies can play anything. The usual first live video is there song Domination but again make sure it's the live version. If you want something harder check out the MV From Now On. They can also Play beautiful ballads. They basically do everything and they are super-duper talented. Hope you check out more because this band is all over the map genre wise and it's all great.

You asked for live performances and you’ll get “Domination” recommendations from most fans. That’s a legendary show, but the sound mix isn’t perfect.
I watched several of your other reviews to get a sense of which Okyu-ji (Maid Serving) you might like.
“Domination” is a definitely a good one, it’s arena pop rock with solos from everyone, but…I think you might get into “Real Existence” Live at Zepp 2018.

Fun reaction. Glad I found you. This was one of their earlier and more pop rock songs. They became but harder and more progressive as they developed. Check out the instrumental From Now On and a couple of Official Live Videos, Black Hole and Puzzle. You'll see how what they sound like now and how versatile they are.
Hell yeah Band Maid are one of my favourite bands in the world! They're amazing and so very talented! They are so much better live! Check out the live recording of their song, Freedom.
These ladies are phenomenal musicians and they just don't do bad songs.
You'll see a lot of recommends for Domination live. It's a good song, but honestly I don't know why it's always a go to recommendation. I'd steer you more towards Manners/Black Hole live, Puzzle live, Play live, Real Existence live, Dice (MV)... I could go on, but I'll leave it there. After some of those, maybe check out Domination because it is good it's just a little more dated and there are better quality lives out there for them as good as it is.
Because if you could only choose ONE song you can play that encapsulates Band-Maid's overall sound and attitude, it's the live version of Domination.
I must say, to my eyes Slashley looks better without her usual makeup.
I notice that Band-Maid goes for the hard rock to heavy metal sound when they go on international tours, and I miss the more intimate acoustic versions of their songs, and they don't play their softer power ballads very often. The good thing about their tour sets is that like many other bands the individual song variants can change a lot, which means a song that was closer to a three minute set becomes more like 5 if the band extends the intro or alters the ending, especially if they are adding additional guitar riff parts for Miku Kobato to play which seems to be trending.

If you REALLY want to have a bop ( and a good time ) then I'd suggest reacting to another Japanese all female band - GACHARIC SPIN - and if you fancy watching a live performance that's just nuts ( and has some elements I doubt you've ever seen on a stage before ) then I'd recommend " HUNTING SUMMER LIVE " but it must be the 2016 version - it's CRAZY !

I've seen your channel before and everyone is going to say Domination Live, Freedom Live, No God Live... And that is a recipe that has been proven to work with your average Reactors. But I know your tastes are more discriminating. You need it to hit a bit harder, well no problem!
"Rinne Live" the opening song to their Line Cube Shibuya Concert. May have to check on Bilie Bilie for that. If not they have an MV that is easy to find on their main channel.

Just keep in mind that they are a Hard Rock Band that infuses elements of Punk, Power Pop, Jazz, Blues, Funk and Metal. Genre bending masters of music but not a straight Metal Band.
