It's GREAT that you know CRNA is the path you want to take-- starting to plan for it now will save you so much time and energy!
It's *too much* to put in a YT comment (ha!) but here's a free step-by-step planning guide I've created that you can download: www.cspaedu.com/8stepguide
Thanks for tuning in-- rooting for you!!

Hello! Im a nursing student (around halfway through) who has completed Anatomy and Physiology, had some unlucky experiences with professors and got a B in both of these courses (I got an A in the labs sections for these courses but they were only worth one credit hour). I also took chemistry and got a B. I'm worried that these courses will affect my science GPA a lot since I feel like I've gotten mostly B's. All of this to say, would retaking these courses at a local (somewhat larger?) community college be worth it at all if I am able to get A's in them? Would future staff reviewing my application "care" about me retaking these courses? I just recently decided that I want to become a CRNA, so I want to make sure that I can make up for any past mistakes.

B's are not all bad-- regarding retaking them, as I mentioned in the video-- it's hard to give a blanket response to that since each program handles retakes differently. Some will accept a retake a replace the original grade with the new one, some will average the two, some won't accept retakes at all and some would prefer you to take a grad level course instead ;) The only way you can know for sure is to reach out to the program(s) you're interested in directly.
I will say this--- Overall, a few B's are not going to prevent you from being accepted into CRNA school. More and more programs are starting to look at applicants more holistically and less on "solely" the GPA number. Things like shadowing, leadership, ICU experience and other factors carry a TON of weight.
I would encourage you to consider joining CSPA! We recently revamped our membership options and our new Foundations level is *perfect* for you. We also just released our Nursing Student to CRNA Accelerator courses-- which will guide you step by step into not only, as you said "making up for past" mistakes but also how to proactively plan and move forward so you can reach CRNA school sooner :)
We also have resources that will help you research and understand what program(s) are best for you, how to get started in the ICU and tons more. Here's the link to look everything over: www.crnaschoolprepacademy.com/join
I hope this helps get you started on your next steps, and we look forward to seeing you in the Academy when you're ready.
Thank you for tuning in, and cheers to your future, CRNA!
