  • In this video I show you how to make the Division Bell. It's one of many modern cocktails that you could call Last Word variations. One base spirit, two liqueurs, and citrus. Usually equal parts (except for in this one of course...!)
If you like like fruit-forward cocktails with a touch of rock n roll from the mezcal, then this is for you!
    Division Bell
    1/2 oz (15ml) Maraschino Liqueur
    3/4 oz (22.5ml) Aperol
    3/4 oz (22.5ml) Lime Juice
    1 oz (30ml) Mezcal
Shake and serve up ⬆️ No garnish!

I just can’t get over how good your channel is. I love your cocktail choices. They are among of my favourites so far, especially the mosquito and knickerbocker. Would you consider doing a video on a pisco punch, or a Sherry cobbler in the near future?

Thank you so much!! I really like the Mosquito too, it's got so much going on!
I will definitely consider doing that, thank you for asking. Neither of these cocktails are stuff that I've ever done at a bar, but I'd be up to give them a go :) I love getting suggestions from you guys! Cheers!

I love a mezcal shot, but this will do. Looks great! I’ve only ever had a paper plane, so this is a game changer.

Mezcal and Amaro are both touchy subjects. I’ve seen people lose an eye over this stuff. Thread carefully my friend. 😅😉

Vino!! I love Mezcal. Why do people get so upset about this stuff?!! Lol!! Yes people are so touchy. Well I love Mezcal and Amaro!! Cheers!! :-) Oh, I am having a very dry Martini!! I felt like Hendrick's original tonight. Love how the cocktail community stays connected. I feel a part of that!! Hope that doesn't sound weird!! You are all the best!! :-)

Johan you are amazing!! Love Phil Ward and better yet, I love the sound of this gorgeous cocktail!! You are right on that Mezcal is a smoky Tequila. What do people think it is?!!! The Amaro book is simply amazing. Brad is awesome. I follow his work a lot. I do love the Naked and Famous and I plan on making this cocktail tomorrow!! I have had my quota today with a stiff martini!! Love the cocktail community!! I hope you are doing well. Cheers!! :-)

      Haha,YOU'RE amazing Christine!
Well, they think that I simplify it too much and don't go into the fact that mezcal is actually the origin of tequila and not the other way around, that it's made from a bunch of different agaves, and produced in more states. But what they don't understand is that I'm speaking to a bigger audience (both here and at the bar) and a lot of people might not even know what tequila really is, so sometimes I just give you the quick and understandable answer 🤷🏻‍♂️ Most of the people getting upset online at stuff like this don't have a picture of themselves and live with their parents as adults 😜

That definitely looks real tasty! I typically describe mescal to be similar to tequila, but somewhat smokey.

Johan! This beast feels like a distant cousin to the Mosquito, which has become our household favorite cocktail, so I definitely will have to try it asap. (It probably doesn't taste anything like mosquito :P) I'm super fascinated by the world of Last Word variations, and will also have to go back and make a Naked and Famous again, to remind myself of that flavor! Also-- definitely gonna slow down the sped-up part to hear your entire rant ;) Put it on the WSB Blu-Ray Special Features! Until next time, Cheers!!

      Haha, maybe it is!!
It's not very far at all from the Naked and Famous..🤫
