Very dry and high wind area this time of year, always has high fire warnings posted in these areas asking people to be careful. Fire crews and multiple department and country teams were on it fast, Ventura Co. LA Co. Kern Co. Plus Angles forest Hot shots, and heavy equipment moved in fast. 2 lakes near to draw water for the helicopter dropprs. Much respect to all the teams on this to fight the high wind moving this fire. This fire started across the street from a gas station right off the 5 Freeway in the high mountain pass town of Gorman. Started off In some dry grass at the back of a parking lot with some junked cars. A single fire truck showed up fairly quickly but with the wind, dry grass, and steep terrain it quickly got out of control. Likely someone tossed a cigarette. This is an isolated area and a busy exit where people stop for gas and a quick rest before heading through the tejon pass.

Plus Angles forest Hot shots, and heavy equipment moved in fast. 2 lakes near to draw water for the helicopter dropprs. Much respect to all the teams on this to fight the high wind moving this fire. This fire started across the street from a gas station right off the 5 Freeway in the high mountain pass town of Gorman. Started off In some dry grass at the back of a parking lot with some junked cars. A single fire truck showed up fairly quickly but with the wind, dry grass, and steep terrain it quickly got out of control. Likely someone tossed a cigarette. This is an isolated area and a busy exit where people stop for gas and a quick rest before heading through the tejon pass.
