For future cars like this, use a p100 mask. The mask you’re wearing is more designed to keep your bodily fluids from escaping, but doesn’t do a great job of keeping airborne mold/pathogens from going in
Learn how to repair and remove dents from your car. When you can't do PDR, properly using a high quality body filler is the next best thing to remove dents. In this video, I show you how to sand the dents down to bare metal, add the body filler, add the glazing putty, spray paint the car at home, compound, and polish, to make it come out amazi th-cam.com/video/ZVx6HQVWffQ/w-d-xo.html
I think spending 200 dollars is well worth the interior detail. Considering that you're doing everything else, hiring a detail guy can save you your own time and materials! All in all, the Civic is lookin' CLEAN! Can't wait to see more!

Something you should check are the capacitor in the ECU, high levels of humid tend to make those caps to leaks and create a mess in the ECU, my 1994 Honda Civic went with some odd electric gremlins and turns out the caps in the ECU leak and short circuit some components
would love to see the interior post-detail too! we need a car version of "if you have health, you have wealth" for when at least your car is running well too lol
Honestly the only thing I'd want to change on this car is get some nice wheels but for the rest it would be great to just get it cleaned and foxed up while being as OEM as possible.
Here’s my idea. It’s obvious you like this car. The previous owner probably loved it. Get it as fresh as you possibly can. A new hood, maybe paint the valve cover, polish everything, head lights, seats, wheels. Don’t do a swap until you “have” to. Have fun with the little motor in it. When that one fails, if it does, then I think most people here will give you the green light. But most importantly, love the dam thing. Enjoy the civic mate
I been looking for a car like this one for so long to work up and I can’t find them your are so lucky. Just get a new hood for it. That car is so worth it. Good luck my friend
Love the videos man, I had a pretty clean 2001 Civic DX Hatch, but please keep the car original or do some clean stuff but keep everything reversible and keep the OEM drivetrain - thats just my suggestion
Please check the rear main seal , it was a problem on these Honda models as well those on my older Mazda protege . They tend to leak but it wasn’t a whole lot . But it’s probably worth a second look . Better to get this Civic turbo charged and paint corrected at a body shop after the interior detailing.
ive spent 18months fixing the rough idle. cleaning then buying new iacv. cleaning throttle body. new fuel filter. end up its the actual timing belt and distributor to be time properly with the timing light
for the leaking oil, check the plugs in the block, had a civic that did the same thing, manual and all and turned out to be a plug that just after 18 years just needed replaced
This is lookimg great, really excited for the future of this car! Personally, would love to see it kept stock (lots of vids out there of kswapped civics) but do what makes you happy!
Just a slight warning about that steering wheel lock, those type of locks you can shim very easily if you know what you’re doing. I would recommend getting something else and install a kill switch Love the series and I don’t want the car to get stolen
Love seeing these transition videos. I saw one of these driving by this evening with the loudest exhaust ever. Clearly it had a bad exhaust leak and the muffler looked as though it was about to fall off... but the car still was chugging along down the road.
This was a great purchase on your part. Can't wait to see what it becomes! It's already in good shape, so hopefully it won't give you as many issues as your Bimmer, lol. Best of luck!
next time u should spray lysol all over inside and leave the window open for couple.hours lysol kills alot of bacteria and make it safer before going in and clean it out
The screws from the door storage look like they're from a plastic "shield" from the belly of the car. We call them shields in my country,so I don't know their name in the USA.
If the rpm’s go up and down like you said it can also be the throttle body if you disconnect it and see in side it will have build up dirt and if you spray it with throttle body fluid it should work and fix the rpm
2:55 - I own an EK hatch with the y7 in the same exact trim myself (except no A/C) and this hole you pointed to has nothing on it. Mine also has nothing there, just like yours

Can’t wait for the full rebuild!
Buy a real mask that piece of cloth ain't doing nothing
Is that an r31 across the street
Do you think you can get red dash cluster lights
Check out JDistributors for some gps tracker with a remote turn off

This guy puts loads of effort into his vids. Plus he's definitely a patient person. KEEP GOING

Thats what my thought process is at this point. I’ve done it before but it takes quite a bit of time and effort. Appreciate it man - thank you!
@@bendaga You're so welcome! Just goes to show that you can still get a STEAL of a deal in today's market!

The cut off wire cutter is actually a universal snap ring pliers. There's a part missing on the top that spreads them.
Hmm strange. Wonder if they used it in a different way 🤔
Can’t wait to see the finished restoration!
appreciate it!

I'm really starting to like this car even though it is just an old civic. There's something about it that is really captivating to me
6:50 made me smile man

My Honda did that idle problem too. I cleaned the throttle body and it fixed the problem.

I bought an EK civic 6 months ago and the first mod I did was also an apple air tag 😅
worth every penny
Keep it stock, the previous owner really loved that car, i think it would be a nice gesture

Such a nice car...... It's sick..!!! Glad you purchased it 💪❤
I found the best thing for tree sap is rubbing alcohol. Dab it on with a microfiber towel and the sap will dissolve in seconds. Works amazing!
I’ll give that a shot!
Genuinely excited to see what comes of this project! Love the enthusiasm and vibe you give off :-)
Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏽
You just earned yourself another subscriber sir! I'm hooked to see the next steps and the eventual final product.

The car's god is with you with this car!! Nice videos bro!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I would love to see a video on the whole process on buying an auction car and making it legal to drive again!
Man now I really need to see the interior transformation...

i love how this civic is clean (cosmetic wise)
200 bucks to not have to deal with the mold is well worth it I think
I can already tell this is gonna be a great transition
Love this civic videos!! Pls continue posting 🙏🙏
If you’re flipping her PLEASE lmk. Massive fan of Hondas and always wanted an older one. I can see the care you put into your work

This is really cool! Nice work!
You did an good job to clean the car
Not a hard restore at all.. I wish more people would have the enthusiasm to bring these classic cars back to their prime!❤
Not too shabby. And agreed 💙
STOCK!!!! keep that beauty stock dont swap anything! 🙅♂️
I really think you should keep this car , good daily and easy access to mod it since they make a lot of aftermarket parts for this car
Wish I could keep them all tbh but I will enjoy it for now
these uploads sustain me
Bro the protege👀🔥 so underrated
*_THE RARE EK HATCH!_*
Omg the sentra classic hatch on the street,!!! I grew up with that model
Loving the series for this hatch.
Idk why but I really wanna see this thing running. Look forward to see the rest your work on this my friend.
This is entertaining to watch, love your vids man 👍
Your short videos are working it brought me here.
Came for the civic, stayed for the chill vybes
If you have health , You have wealth

Honestly, if I were you, I'd keep it cause the fact is that it's too nice to give it away. It's also really cheap to maintain.
Dude that hatch cleans up nicely 👌🏽
I like the vibes man. Good video 👍

This is very inspirational.
The random bolts in the driver's door pocket looks like they could be license plate bolts
next time u should spray lysol all over inside and leave the window open for couple.hours lysol kills alot of bacteria and make it safer before going in and clean it out
bro i love your vids, keep up the great work! hope the civic is doing good to you as well bud!

The tool I believe is an ex wire stripper. Good luck with this one, looks like a winner.

Around what price did you get this because it looks dope, and is this manual or automatic?

God the scratches from that sponge are gonna be insane😭😭 please no one ever use a kitchen sponge on your paint
God damn they did some breaking bad level stuff with them trays.
I love this car, I'm so jealous❤. Hope you give it a great life.
I currently own a 91 crx and I’m putting as much security in it as possible
love civic hatches
New to your channel! Can’t wait to see the end result
I’ve got an 88 prelude super rusty barn find what’s the best way to get the rust off
Those pliers have holes for a circlip attatchment.
Bro awesome civic 👍
Should wrap it orange with a biohazard logo on the side
When u found them clipd thats what i think used to hotwire it and then its now at auction and someone before u bought it could of reparied it maybe
Buying auction cars and cleaning them should be your thing
$200 for an interior detail is a steal for that bruv
I looove your voice. Whoever you are with is lucky 😍
Here's a random question, does starter fluid work better when it's cold. I mean, an engine works better with cold air
funy little car would love to see it driving
i have an 03 accord and i need to change my idle air control value tomorrow because mine is doing that same idling issue
2:55 - I own an EK hatch with the y7 in the same exact trim myself (except no A/C) and this hole you pointed to has nothing on it. Mine also has nothing there, just like yours
Looks like those could be snap ring pliers.
Can you keep a very approximate cost add up as you work on her? Thank you for the content!
That Trey reminds me something from breaking bad
This is the car i wanna see built
Wuuu the first wash is always the best 😂
