I'm not sure what Yoro has done to earn such praise. Given his team finished 4th in a league lower in standard to the Premier league. Branthwaite is PL tested and can hold his own. I'm not saying he's necessarily better than Yoro or not, I just don't see where the hype comes from for Yoro. Good player, potentially overhyped.

I don’t see us getting either of them. United won’t pay Everton’s price and Yoro can go to his 1st choice, Real Madrid, for free at the end of the season. Think we’ll end up with De Ligt, either Lindelof or Maguire will be sold and Kambwala will get more 1st team opportunities, 1st choice CB’s Martinez/De Ligt.
Can't really argue with any of that. I wouldn't be unhappy either (as long as it's Lindelof that leaves).

I totally agree on Branthwaite, it would irk me to see UTD pay anything much more than 35-40 million. There are good options under 25 across Europe and South America in that price range and below, with potential for development, and what's also so important now, sell-on profit. I'd have internally pulled the plug on this deal already, but not let it out to other clubs that we might want to deal with. My heart wants Yoro, but my head says Real Madrid on a free next summer, they are unfortunately that far ahead of us now, it's going to take patience and a few windows to fix the last regimes mess.

We can literally get two more players of similar if not better CBs than Jarrad for his fee, they cited maguire and fofana as reasons for demanding such a fee and those were mistakes and so will branthwaite be if we sign him for such a fee, even gvardiol who is an exceptional young player is he much different to Ake in that man city system? Ake cost less than half his price so was it worth it?
I think the 45+5 bid is perfect value for him nothing more,
De ligt, yoro is a much better option for a similar fee
I prefer Yoro and De Ligt, but one of our CB signings needs to be left-footed. Ten Hag likes a left-footer on the left, but we need replacements for when Lisandro, Shaw and Malacia are out
Branthwaite for 35mil tops, is a decent signing. We signed Rio who was a record defender signing at the time, but he had been at west ham in the prem, playing for england, and turned out for a good leeds team in the prem and europe. Branthwaite has been at psv on loan and done one season for a shocking everton team, where and how is he worth more than 30 mil? He hasn't bossed it and dragged everton through the season! He's average on the ball, poor at tackling, goes to ground especially in the area way to often, plus he has just been playing Dyche ball.... How does he fit and why are united so set on him being worth the money. For me I'd go back to Luton and buy Mengi back, i think we would all welcome that signing in a heartbeat.

RCB - De Ligt 45M + Yoro 45M
LCB - Martinez + Lucumi 20-30M
If Yoro goes to Real we could stick with Maguire one more year until we find another long term world class RCB, or we could go for someone a bit cheaper like Chalobah this summer if we don't feel like splashing big money on someone else that we think will be here for a decade.
Imagine having, De ligt, Yoro, Martinez, Kambwala, Dalot, AWB, Shaw, Malacia at the back, hopefully everyone is fit for next season

Always have been saying so, he ia not worth £75m. You don't want another Maguire who cannot be dropped and moved on because of huge fees paid. Buy at around £30m to £40m so there is less of financial impact when sold or does not work out

With Jarrad, the possibility of him staying with us until the end of his career exists because of his nationality. Provided he is good, he will save us a lot of money. With Leny, we could lose him to other club early just like Christiano. That is why I am not surprise we want Jarrad.
We won’t pay anymore than £50m for any player this summer. We are bidding for multiple centre backs because they are all difficult deals to pull off and there isn’t much time. I doubt United will get more than one of them. Better that than the previous regime chasing one deal for months and then having to panic buy.

Maguire has a very high passing rate and they are mostly to GK and luke shaw. Similarly branthwaite has a very high clearance rate of 64% lets not forget he is a sean dyche defender all he has to do shoot long balls and defend in a low block with atleast 6 player supporting him.He isa good player but does not suit possession based football.He is a ideal defender for team who plays sean dyche football.
