I worked most of my life for the Mining Contractors - we would build the road in - collar the portal and drive the drift underground - later the diamond drills would come in to find where the ore body lies - Here on this slope above , there are no trees to hold the dirt - whole thing could come down and take the cat over the bank - this happens lots of time - excavators are better and pulling down any loose soil and rock above the road - WORK SAFE
Unfortunately though, the gentleman at the top is correct. When you’ve had a forest fire like that, there are no living plants or trees to hold the soil in place when the rains come. On top of that, you’re aggravating the situation by dozing all of that dead organic material into your fill. By nature organic matter will decay and rot and leave voids in your fill and then when it rains those pockets become underground funnels for the water that comes by way of rain. This whole process will set up the perfect storm for a landslide of epic proportions, and, depending on how many people live at the bottom of that hill, you by process of logic and reason, are putting those people in harm’s way. I have run dozers and earth works projects for many years as well as with soils engineers, so I know of which I speak. The best thing you could do is to spread fast growing seed on that hillside of indigenous plants and grasses to help hold the soils together. I wish you good luck, health, peace and prosperity 💪👊🤙❤
first time it rains real hard that WHOLE hill will simply slide into the valley below , where the road has been gouged out of the side . it should be obvious to the person running the CAT !
The CAT BULLDOZER D6R XL did a very good job. However, the video shot was not good at all. How does the abyss look like? 8 minutes of video does not have a single shot of that.
Later, there will be an excavator that makes the ground not fall again, friends will be safe even if it rains,,, Thanks for the input thank you also for watching my channel❤❤❤
The bulldozer is perfect but don't think that with the excavator the risk of landsliding will be reduced. Between the fact that all the vegetation upstream has been burned and slopes more than 15 feet high have been cut, with that geology, the only salvation would be the construction of counterbank walls.....
This site is an environmemntal disaster zone. Not a living tree. That road will be a waste of money in the very next heavy rain session. Do the reforestation and come again.
First heavy rain say goodbye to your road!

Waking up everyday to move mountains sounds fun 🤩

Anyone who drives on that road in the future is risking their life.
Just having fun.

이런 황량한 산이 좋더라
why not use excavator instead?
It helps having a flat surface already there for an excavator to work on helps speed up production and is safer
Excavators aren’t fun to watch.
C'est clair 😉
I don't think a vertical cut on a sand slope is going to be stable.
By the way he taking too long and too narrow swing left width should be 1. 5 blade
If has this job .
I sou put 2 excavator let put all of sand for the bulldozer.
Than was the job surely don.
talus trop vertical à la première grosse pluie la piste est bouchée
Very nice video of the back of a dozer! What a waste!
밋숀,안좋은것같다?
소리가,좋지않아?
Ouvrir une route dans une pente de terrain friable n’est pas génial! Tout peut s’effondrer sous une pluie abondante!
Piss poor on efficiency, takes way too long for a pioneer road
Wrong equipment backhoe will do the job not bull dozer
Wrong.
I have done heaps of roads in country like that in NZ and did it all with dozers, excavators weren't even born back then.
Yet here it is, doing the job.
