Hi Kevin, love your videos. I'm putting my Chappy back together right now and for the life of me can't figure out where the hose coming off the top of the oil tank is supposed to hook up, it looks like maybe it's a vent but it has a pretty large outlet. Any ideas? Thanks!
Watching this I'm realizing I should have removed my rear fender for easier access to the fuel lines. I just picked up a yellow 1976 Chappy with 489 miles on it.
@@2strokeguru thanks. I was picking up a 1989 Zuma from a guy and he had the Chappy tucked away in the side of his shop. So now I have two bikes to tinker on.
If the engine is off and the petcock arm is on the ON position fuel should stop flowing. Mine continues to flow if I pull the fuel line from the carb. Any idea why the fuel is still flowing?
Is that an oil tank in front of the gas tank? I ask because my son just bought me a 1976 lb80 chappy,I found in a barn from the original owner, the gas tank, battery, and I’m assuming oil tank were missing,so I’m having to rebuild
I cannot seem to get that tube to fit on the back of the carb. The one that runs to the air filter box. I even tried to soften it up in hot water but still won't fit. Any ideas? Thanks
My chappie leaks gas really bad at first start but then does not could you tell me why and it’s real hard to start at first but once it’s running it starts first kick every time
I’m having trouble connecting my front blinkers. When I hook them up where I think they go the dark green on one and brown on other the back ones will stop working and the flasher relay will start buzzing do you remember where they connect

Yes I did just that, only 2 bolts holding the rear fender, makes it a lot less aggravating. Mine is a 1980 LB50
