I resonate a lot with this video, from playing with friends as a kid without understanding the FF games (I didn’t understand english also 😅), to then replaying and enjoying the stories as I was growing up, to feeling inspired by the Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura compositions. Overall great video, thank you for sharing this. I’m glad it inspired you to play the piano. You got one more suscriber with me 😊👍🏼

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for subscribing! 😊 haha nice that we have same kind of experiences 😅 - playing the games as kids without fully understanding english. And then coming back to them later.
And yes the music truly is something else - Uematsu and Shimomura are absolute legends! I’m glad this you enjoyed the video and it brought back some memories. Thanks again for your support, it really means a lot! 🙌

Got a modded/chipped PS1 for Christmas from my dad when i was around 12/13 with a bin/trash bag full of games and FF7 was one of those games. Never got far in it but I remember getting to the reactor, having to go to school and without a memory card I left the console running. Came home and it was switched off.
Still amazing that even back then when i was probably 13 or so, the piracy and modding scene was thriving without the internet

Wow, nice story! It must have been epic to get a modded PS1 and a bag full of games! 🎮😂
yeah, that happened to me also: leaving the console running without a memory card and then coming home and find the console turned off 😭 ugh. Those were the struggles of gaming back then!
Piracy was a thing back then, haha - i lived through those times also! Thanks for sharing your memory! 😄

First time I played a Final Fantasy game it was a snippet of Final Fantasy eight on the Pizza Hut demo disk

I watch my uncle Donnie play them on his PlayStation one back in the 90s

Very touching story from a true final fantasy fan, I grew up with the Sega Megadrive too and loved all the classics like Sonic too. I can't remember when I got my playstation but I got FF7 and was hooked from the start. I never got to play any of the Snes entries sadly but to be honest i never even knew much about them. Since then I played every one since and loved them all, especially the music. I seen a girl on here who plays the final fantasy songs on harp. I was blown away when I seen this, when i get a chance ill listen to your piano covers. I bet they are just as good. :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yay! amazing that you had Sega Megadrive classics too like Sonic! And yeah FF7; it’s a game that just pulls you in and never really lets go. It’s a shame you missed the SNES entries, but honestly, that was me for the longest time too -- they’re incredible in their own way if you ever get the chance to revisit them.
The music, though - wow - it’s on a whole other level, and it’s good that you’ve kept up with every FF game since. I have also seen some harp covers on TH-cam, they are beautiful! :) Thank you so much for considering listening to my piano covers too - it really means a lot
