    I have a lovely 6300. There such a beautiful deck. I need to set my tone arm - I’m on the Central Coast NSW. Thanks for your video!

    Can you show how to replace the strobe bulb and where to get one? Thank you.

      johnabuick, Hi, unfortunately not at this stage but maybe at some point I will get a chance to post such a video. Thanks for watching!

      @@LiquidAudio Hi I am interested in that too. My strobo light works for about 20 seconds and turns of. When I switch the Manual / Auto button it turns on again for a second or sometimes 5. I tried to remove the foot to reach the strobo light. Removed the screws but there was no chance to move the original foot with decent power. Of course I am afraid of damaging something.

      @@ogga999 Yes you definitely don't want to damage anything, be careful and if this isn't something you would normally work on and repair, take it to an expert. These are lovely decks and becoming more sought after now. Anything of this age will need a really thorough service as a minimum.

    My 6300 "cue up" function works intermittently. I replaced the switch and the same thing continues to happen. Any idea what it might be besides the switch? I tried twice, 2 different brand new switches. Any help is appreciated.

      Hi Jeff, thanks for your question. It really sounds like you need to take the deck to someone familiar with them and other turntables for assessment and repair/service. I'd need to first properly inspect and test the deck, take measurements and so on to trace the cause of the fault. I suggest not replacing anything else until you are able to pinpoint the source of the problem, otherwise you potentially introduce other problems and reduce originality. There are many potential causes of weird behaviour like this, if you live anywhere near Perth you are welcome to bring her in.

      @@LiquidAudio Thank you for your response. I happen to be in Los Angeles! I would love to visit however!!! So... I just now figured it out. There are 2 additional switches in line with the down cue button that appear to be within the same circuit. When I cleaned both of them with deoxit, lo and behold... the up cue worked and continues to function. Thank you for your help. I will now be able to continue my posts on IG. I also need to figure out why the strobe is intermittent. If I lay my finger on the housing it will shine until I move it away. Talk about weird! Anyway, thanks again, and for the offer to come in.

      Hi Jeff, understood regarding the distance and excellent work on thinking about the other switches in the circuit and cleaning those. Deoxit is a great product to use for jobs like this so that's also excellent work. Regarding the strobe, I suggest checking the circuit to see how it is switched and powered. Cleaning any associated switches is probably a good idea and I'd test and potentially replace any small electrolytic capacitors in the strobe circuit if they test poorly. These are often high-voltage caps that can become leaky and develop high ESR.

      I find... now... that the tone arm jumps/pops up with the cue up button with such force that it loses its position on the record. Then, the down button drops gently the 1st time, but subsequent use of the down cue drops the tone arm like a brick!! What do you think is wrong?

      @@jeffatlas7648 It's really tricky for me to be able to assist remotely and I'd be speculating without seeing and testing the deck, as mentioned. It sounds like a bit of work has been done to this deck though, which introduces more variables. I'd suggest finding a local expert you can take the deck to for further diagnosis and repair. Do you have such a local technician?

    How do you set anti skating on this turntable?

    • @LiquidAudio
      @LiquidAudio  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The adjustment is just near the tonearm base, small lever with weight attached which you use to set the antiskate. As always with antiskate, best to use a test record with section of smooth ungrooved vinyl or plastic and set antiskate for neutral arm behaviour.

    Quanto custa um assim???

    • @LiquidAudio
      @LiquidAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to say as it depends on many factors like the market at the time of purchase, condition and service history of the unit in question, what cartridge is fitted etc.

    Why are these so expensive nowaday? They're like $1,000

    • @LiquidAudio
      @LiquidAudio  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point, they are expensive, for a few reasons I think. They are very nicely made, the styling is like nothing else and has stood the test of time very well, not dating like some other gear has. They have a good tonearm and many people prefer the automated functions over full manual decks. At $1000 for example, this is still a far better deck than anything new at that price!

      Liquid Audio good point. Its probably the most attractive turntable i've seen.

      Definitely a good looker. A customer of mine has just purchased this exact deck and he loves it.
