Hey Alex for fires like that apartment fire I would recommend calling a Task force. What that sends is 2 engines and a Ladder instead of the Light force which is one engine and one ladder. Just so that you can get more units there quicker.
I don’t know about an hour away but in Chicago standard procedure is that if a firefighter is injured some sort of a field officer is dispatched to ride to the hospital with the injured firefighter
