100% AGREE!!! Enough GREAT new material now and it's high tiime!! Once this COVID crap is over and touring can begin this should be at the top of the list.
I can honestly say I watched this entire video. Thanks for answering all our questions. A lot of great insight into the world of one of my favorite bands. Cheers Tom
Well, Tom, the microphone did improve sound, so you are learning this modern tech! Bravo! Years ago, I met you on the Monday Morning tour and even back then, you said that David Glimore was a huge influence on you as a guitarist. I've listened to David's music for most of my life. What is your favorite Gilmore solo?
Great! I am sure you can also edit sound separately, so when I get this down properly I will add some more time on getting it 100% :) Comfortably Numb is one of them :) and of course the end of High Hopes!
I gotta say Tom, you're a huge inspiration to a fellow 7 and 8 string guitarist, also a aspiring vocalist as well. Been listening to Evergrey since I was about 13/14, now 31. Keep pushing the boundaries of composition and passion my friend.

I am so happy to see you active on this platform Tom . Love your work , love seeing you on the stage again . Stay safe and super happy for the album and your projects so far ! Hope we will not wait another 12 years for you in Croatia ^^ . Cheers !
Yessss, a full hours of Evergrey talks, awesome! Tom, last couple gigs I heard Johan Niemann on backing vocals, which blew my mind. Your voices together are incredibly powerful. I thought him a guitar player in Mind's Eye, then Bass player in Therion and Evergrey, but also vocals? Are we gonna hear him accompany you on the next Evergrey album?
Thank you so much for answering my question! Thanks for the video, it's so nice to have this opportunity to pretty much talk to you and to get to know your thoughts on so many subjects. And thank you for your art! ❤️
Please do a commentary video with you and the guys talking about The Atlantic, song by song, the feelings when creating it, the thoughts about them and how well it was received by your fans! 👍🏻
Thanks for answering my question! I would love to watch a video on creativity. It's something I'm constantly thinking about myself and struggling with occasionally, It has been 15 years since I was inspired by you, Henrik and Thomas Youngblood from Kamelot to start writing my own songs. For years I remember just spitting out new songs and bringing them to band practice every other weekend, but after a while it seems to get harder and harder to come up with something that doesn't sound like a repetition of a previous idea. Staying original has taken me a lot of patience and a "kill your darlings"-mentality, hence my question about if you compare the previous material to your new ideas.
Thanks for the reply Tom. Really enjoyed the whole thing. I know bands make most of their money from touring nowadays, that was the reason for my question about doing 1 or 2 songs instead of a full album. Looking forward to more new music, whichever way you decide to put it out.
bit late to the FAQ, really good answers to questions people asked, was fortunate to see you last year in Toronto in 2019 and man you guys blew me away, one of the best concerts of 2019, top five for me personally for sure! please please please, do more FAQ's this was awesome!
Hey Tom thought you were reading off the first Q&A comments. Anyway question was before the solo in "A Secret Atlantis" where did the dialog spoken word come from? Sounds like from an action movie of a plane going down ... went perfect with the riff gave me chills when I first heard the song
This was a lot of fun, thanks for doing it and thanks for answering my question. I look forward to all the other potential videos that could come from this!
Did I hear a new Silent Skies song in the background? Hmm very curious. 51:45 let's do it! Let's talk about everything! I'm down. Thanks for answering my question and all other questions. That was amazing having another Q&A! And yes please release Albums. It's always so exciting when a new one comes out.
I love this channel. So cool to get insights into one a favorite musician/songwriter. Interesting question about should you release a song one at a time or a full album. I have noticed that trend recently; I for one am old school (well, because I am old) and prefer the album experience. Hearing just one track doesn't do it for me. But whatever you decide to do, I will be listening. Thank you for all the great music.
Albums for sure, not one song at a time. But I'd love to the option to purchase earlier, demo versions of the songs you publish on albums just so I can see how the ideas sounded initially and how they changed over time, where you started that journey and how you ended it. I hope Arjen gives you a bigger role on a future Ayreon album. Thanks for answering :)
"Pack it up,pack it In" Is that "Jump Around",from House of Pain?! Fantastic talk here with this video. Loved it all. Getting me through sleep deprived nights here in Ireland. Thank You. Id like to know- What was the first "rock/metal" gig you attended? Can you remember the moment as a teenager when you just knew you wanted to do music for life? Were you into any of the Grunge scene in the early 90s? That was the start of it all for me. Stay safe, and thanks for the superb videos.
That is somwhat hard as it would require having someone here filming when that happens, makes the workflow hindered if I need to ALSO concentrate on Cameras and sound for htat at the same time
Tom you pronounced my name absolutely spot on and morons in my own country can't even get it right alot of the time haha, anyways thanks for the video, if you somehow did a virtual gig I'd happily support that else if your merchandise can be sent to South Africa then I'd try buy some of that too during this time to support you guys as much as we can, keep well champ
Ahh thought you were reading off the first Q&A .. anyways On A Secret Atlantis how did the background dialog come about? sounds like it’s from a movie ... it perfectly matches the overall atmosphere of the song especially during the bridge prior to the solo. I hear that approach in many Evergrey songs in the past few albums fits perfectly and gives me chills how well it match’s with the riffs ... “When the Wall Come Down” great example too
Kul med Pink Floyd! Enig om High Hopes, en låt som har allt enligt min mening. Ni borde göra en cover på den, Coming Back To Life eller Out Of The Blue från David Gilmours About Face-platta. Skulle vara jävligt mäktigt då jag har väldigt personliga kopplingar till dessa, precis som med många av Evergreys låtar! Grym Q&A, tack! ⚡️
I kanot change my autocorect în english but not that its important. Bistrița România wee are here. No more crosstalk:)) taly you know him from gothic band. A good friend of mine. Never saw u guys i hope fore:)
Lets Crowdfund an Evergrey Live Blu-Ray & Vinyl!!!! Take my money 💰 please. I believe all the fans would agree.
I'm Game! :)
Let's make it!

Tom, Brave New World is most certainly Bruce! That was the album that got me back Into Maiden.
