The size of that bunker unbelievable and the echoes stayed some time in their just shows you the vast area you can picture in your head the layout out of the luftwaffe airfield and the crew 😮
Yes our imagination is running wild out there and we love that. EE had such a blast there and we shall share more in part 2. Just imagine how it used to be with 50 Luftwaffe aircraft there and all the crew running around. Thank you and we send a summer greeting your way :)
I get on google earth quite regularly and see how many I can find in the UK🇬🇧 I then try to find the name of the airfields and then find information and old photos on them, to think 80 odd years ago these places were a bustling metropolis with thousands of men and woman and activity everywhere everyday… Nowadays they’re silent and mostly forgotten about😢😢 it’s always been a dream of mine to travel to the UK🇬🇧 and mainland Europe to visit such sites🙏🏾🙏🏾 it just amazes me I can’t get enough of it… To think all the men and women have all moved on as will we one day….
Thanks! I love the aviation experiences. I can hear and smell the aircraft and ground vehicles all around there. Did you find tower location? Great job EE,HH. You two are the best 🏆🏆
yes , that is what we do , use our imagination and feel the air sort of and loving that. There used to be a very low tower here only in wood if i remember right but we could not find or have information about that. Just imagine how that place would look like with 50 Luftwaffe aircraft there and all the crew running around. Thank you my friend for your great support and we send a summer greeting to you :)
I need to sneak into one of these bunkers so when you do your EHO for the echo, I could have a tape player to say Hello back to you so I can see what happens! 😀
i have actually thought of that Larry and jus to see what EE would react. Would have been fun. Great place and explore and more to come from this place. Thanks.
Great work finding those "Tobruks". Heaven knows someone has certainly made an effort to cover the past well. Those brick built bunkers on that airfield are fascinating. Certainly not what we're used to seeing. And certainly not built to withstand a direct hit. That big shelter though, was just amazing. I can imagine it wouldn't have been so "Echo-ey" when it was filled with furniture, people, and gear, but the height and the design would still have made for a noisy work place. Looking forward to what else you guys found in that fascinating place. Cheers!
Interesting airfield with alot to see. The echo was a lot more than any other bunker you have ever found, incredible. Can't wait for part 2. Thank you and EE.
Agree Allen , such a special place and that bunker was just so great to see. More to come and you will like part 2. Thank you for your incredible support :)
Anyone else realize how tall Eagle Eyes is getting! Also never heard him complain, like my kids would "Where's Micky Mouse!?" LOL Thank guys for the hard work!
Loved the echo in that place, and the amount of doorways too. Very strange construction, but judging by the size of the beams supporting the roof, a vast amount of soil would have covered it along with grass etc. Great explore, looking forward to part two. Thanks again for sharing with us.
Thanks for all you are doing! The underground is huge, echos lasted forever! You sound so much better, I hope you're feeling better too. Eagle Eyes is growing so much. Please be safe and keep up the great work! Can't wait to see more videos!
Things are great and all is well on the road trip and so much to bring back and share. Thanks so much for your incredible support that enables us to go out and share more with you :)
Its so nice to see you still doing this, i used to watch your vids when i was super young and i came across your TH-cam channel again it filled me with nostalgia and made me smile
Welcome back my friend and that is awesome to read and we thank you for being here with us. We have done it for quite some years you know and appreciate everybody who watch and comment :)
I love it. I’m almost ready to go this night with the metaldetector to hunt the dunes near the bunkers here. 1 month ago i hound two Kriegsmarine helmets and a very rusted mg42.
Wow... what a location. That was very moving, being on the field with you where all that Luftwaffe activity took place. And what an echo in that bunker. Amazing, as always. Very meaningful to see this.
Great location. The large bunkers echo would not have been as bad during the occupation. Chairs, tables, maps on the wall, and possibly bunks would have deadened the sound. Shame filling in all the MG sites, also tells me the farmers have had issues with people. Another great video HH with EE leading the party. Nice job EE. Stay safe out there.
A great location that you have shared and thumbs up for the bunker. I'm sure there's going to be a lot to like about little history. Do you also use the metal detector? Flooded bunkers, understand that EE doesn't have good shoes for it. Maybe, what we have here in the Netherlands is a waat suit, waterproof pants with boots on. We look forward to part 2, with regards
It is surprising sometime to see a barracks building still standing and in use by someone. Maybe the previous land owner was able to take ownership of the building after the troops withdrew? The Germans chose a very flat area for their airfield. EE is such an encyclopedia of history; does he read up on every location you are going to survey? He always seems to be so knowledgeable, just like Dad! So a train carried ammunition from storage to the airfield? That underground bunker was HUGE! Those artifacts are awesome, especially the badge and the belt buckle! Thanks for taking us along! Stay safe and stay well!
yes seing barrack like that is awesome for sure. Flat it is and EE often do his own research and finds features that we dive into deeper. Such great location and will share more later. Thanks Donald.
The train track and concrete road would have been to hold the weight of bomb trolleys carrying ammunition out to a dispersal point near the aircraft. Ammunition is heavy and they'd need good ground to be able to handle the weight in wet weather.
Hard to believe the Luftwaffe had established 100's of airstrips all over Europe. Thanks for the images/pics depicting that era/time in history. Helps put things in prespective for us. Always enjoy the little clips of EE marching off into another adventure. The shelter for the Luftwaffe soldiers was quite ingenius connected to the red barracks/living quarters. I would think they would have been well protected from any incoming bombs. Yes, nature certainly reclaims back. Good catch EE recognizing the railroad tracks. It's also a good thing you brought your flashlight EE. I don't blame you for asking him why he forgot his. Silly Dad. A shame the bunker was flooded, but you still took us in to show us. You two need hip waders. 😄 It sure did echo in there . Vey interesting WW2 artifacts you have found EE and HH. Thank you my favourite WW2 History explorer and family. Stay safe.
yes they had hundreds of airstrips around and they were busy all the time. To see that barrack there was totally great hope it will be there also in the future. Thanks and we send a summer greeting your way :)
Can not believe how "deep" or big that bunker was!!! When you rounded the corner and showed the interior, I was like, "Holy Crap"!! Huge. I can't see it being used for just a protection bunker; had to be used for something else with that many rooms, holy crap!!! Loved that a barracks was still there today. Absolutely wonderful for it to be put to use. Very nice. Can't wait to see part 2; as always, looking forward to see what else lies out there. Thanks EE for keeping all the bearings straight on where to go too. Keep doing what you do. Stay well and smile......
It’s just amazing to me that you can go to an area and not really see anything but as you walk around you start to find the hidden features. How wonderful to see the barrack still there and in wonderful condition. Seeing the huge bunker was interesting to see. I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before. Wonder what it was used for? You and Eagle Eyes impress me with the way you can find features that are buried in the landscape. I can definitely say this road trip isn’t a failure. We’re being shown some fantastic places and things. Happy to see you getting around better.
Yes Anthony , that barrack is so great to see and there is a lot more around there that we will show you. Bunker is actually a little mystery and still wonder what is in there. More to come and greetings from us.
It is wonderful see that barrack in such excellent condition. HH and EE you did an amazing job finding all those sights in what looked like just a field and forest!! The huge bunker was such a great suprise. Thank you for taking us back in time with you ❤.
That barrack was such a interesting thing to find and that it is even in use today is great to see. Appreciate you being here with us and more to come :)
Can you imagine being in that bunker during an air attack? You would be deaf for days! They even built a fake airfield about 4 Km away with wooden planes and such - the allies blew up those wooden planes a number of times, but never did find the actual airfield from the air. It's now the HQ for Adidas and only the barracks buildings are still there to see as far as I know.

Wonder how many of the Luftwaffe airfields in Europe are still standing or visible? The was good to see that the red building with the shelter has been maintained. Thanks so much for taking us inside the flooded bunker. I hope you didn't get your feet soaked EE. Very interesting how it was laid out. Again another excellent WW2 video. Looking forward to more. Thanks for all your hard work HH & EE
What a great location really didn't like u where gonna find anything. Well I was wrong lol a massive bunker for bomb storage. Thank you so much history Hunter and Eagle Eye's Eli, for all the massive research and exploration you do for us to enjoy.
EEis getting to be quite the Hunter/assistant. Sent you a paypal so you get to keep more of the money. I would have never thought that bunker could be so large. No wonder it had to entrances.
We appreciate that a lot my friend and thank you for that. EE is actually doing a lot of the behind scenes prep and research and he takes care of a lot of the navigation out there and so proud of him. Bunker was so great , just loved it. We send a summer greeting your way and be safe out there.
Oh wow , we tried one week out there to use a step counter but we never thought that could be real as it was a ton of steps and more then we ever knew for sure. Thanks and greetings from us.
@@WW2HistoryHunter We sure don't, look at that generator you found, the Bunker stoves, wire by the rolls, insignia, etc...., but imagine finding the aircraft that can be linked to them. Prillers wingman was shot down over Sword Beach, and finding Galland's jet, wow.
Another awesome video! You certainly know your shit! Next time, don,t forget your flashlight and maybe a set of hip boots...ha ha . Keep up the great work!
Was an aircraft maintainer/Tech rep...bet you would find a lot of buried parts and personal items there. Too bad you don't have a golf cart or something to drive around...looks like you two walked a lot
That big bunker may have been part of the later war air defence network, rather than just purely local airfield control. Germany and occupied areas were dotted with AD installations, and are a story in themselves.
Have you ever sent an underwater drone down in the flooded caves where the HEERESWAFF established its underground research facilities at PEENEMUNDE/ MITTELWERK ? Is there the possibility that DIE GLOCKE and other GEHEIME WUNDERWAFFEN might be in those water drenched caverns ? Being as clever and secretive as the DEUTCHE MILITARFORSCHUNGSABTEILUN was that these research efforts were dispersed to less secret locations similar to ths one you explore in this Video Post ?
As someone who did this kind of stuff as a kid with friends. I really love thay you share these journeys with your son.
I am honored that EE is joining me and we thank for for being here :)

Great place and explore :) Thanks Scottie :)
wouldn't a field full of aircraft on that field be awesome to see , what a location ! great job guys
yes that would have been something to see indeed. Thanks Dave :)
Waiting is over finally. ❤ Love watching your videos

Amazing exploring there and that bunker is a unique monster and great acoustic.
Loved it David and thanks for being here with us.
That bunker was pretty big...enjoyed once again.
Glad you enjoyed it

What a great location really didn't like u where gonna find anything. Well I was wrong lol a massive bunker for bomb storage. Thank you so much history Hunter and Eagle Eye's Eli, for all the massive research and exploration you do for us to enjoy.
We was surprised to see that huge bunker there indeed. Loved the explore and thanks William :)
Beau travail Comme d'habitude🔬🎬🍀🌌Que Du Bonheur La Famille💪🌐Alex FROM FRANCE Picardie Somme🌹🙏🌌
Thank you so much Alex and have a great summer :)
Absolutely Amazing Video Footage!!!! It look’s like the German’s took Great Pride with there Brick and Concrete Work😎👍👍
Lot of work done there it seems yes and thanks for watching.
The field looks nice it’s self, nature.
Agree and thanks :)
you wanna' guess how many kilometers you've walked in your explorations?? good videos
Oh wow , we tried one week out there to use a step counter but we never thought that could be real as it was a ton of steps and more then we ever knew for sure. Thanks and greetings from us.
I'd do a double goosestepp with a triple flip over if I found Obst. Josef Prillers FW 190 or his wingman plane
Well you never know what is out there William :) Thanks.
What a good place surprising to see whats still there
Loved to see that and thanks for being here with us my friend.
SALUTE! Just awesome!
You ar way to kind my friend and we appreciate that :)
That must be a command center. This huge structure.
Could be , some say a telephone central an others say command bunker. Thanks.
Another awesome video! You certainly know your shit! Next time, don,t forget your flashlight and maybe a set of hip boots...ha ha . Keep up the great work!
Thanks for that and greetings from us.
Was an aircraft maintainer/Tech rep...bet you would find a lot of buried parts and personal items there. Too bad you don't have a golf cart or something to drive around...looks like you two walked a lot
There could be yes. Thanks and greetings from us.
That big bunker may have been part of the later war air defence network, rather than just purely local airfield control. Germany and occupied areas were dotted with AD installations, and are a story in themselves.
ok and thanks for watching.
Wow
Thanks.
The belt buckle @ 18:45 looks to me very much like a
Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB; "Reich Air Protection League") buckle?
It is a very early buckle yes and so happy for EE finding that . Thanks
Hi
Hello :)
You never know and thanks for watching.
The big bunker being the most well protected likely housed the command and control center ???
could be and thanks for watching.
Left your metal detector again and your rubber boots. No telling what you would have found around the plane shop
Well you never know. Thanks.
9:38 / Sign indicates : Auto's & motorcycles forbidden. A concrete trail / path only for walking ? Explain please HH .
Well not much to say other then those are not allowed there. Thanks.
😅😂anything answers back. I'm outside.
Thanks for watching.
Bring motorcycle
ok and thanks for watching.
How is it still empty??? Not farm land. No housing project? No flowers... It is amazing to be empty..
I agree and actually happy it is like that. Thanks for watching.
Sonar in a bunker.
