Hey, thanks for your comment on my video. I really appreciate it. Personally, the s23+ will be a better option for battery, especially if you're looking for at least a day's use. However, there is more weight, and in my personal usage, you do get used to the added size. Hello a question which phone would u rate better iphone 14 pro or the Samsung s23+ ? I currently have the 14 pro and my nearest dealer says i can exchange with the samsung s23 plus along with some money. So your suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Hey, in my personal opinion, there is not much difference they basically draw. What will really matter is your preference on OS. If you are already in the apple ecosystem, then it makes sense to stick with apple, but if you are getting a better deal and don't mind stepping into android world, I'd choose Samsung. Please let me know what you decide to go with. Thanks for your comment 👍
My s23+ comes tomorrow and I can't wait. I have the s20 fe 5g almost 3 1/2 year old phone and i just got the last update in October. It still works but with a trade in it only cost $625. I hope i like it, if not i will get s23 ultra.
Thanks for responding! I feel nervous about making a change but I need a phone that gets updated regularly. I will keep my old one as a back up but hope the new one be even more reliable. Thanks again for the review not many were done for this model.
Just upgraded from the s20 plus the exynos variant and i can say that phone was hell 😢 i immediately felt the effect when i switched. Friendly advice, don't go for the ultra, the screen protector thing will make you worked up, basically its hard to handle, gets larger with the cover and just the overall experience is not worth it the s24 ultra is a better pick because of the flat display, you would have to wait it out though@loisgoodmovies8474
Hey bruce, first of all great content brother, your delivery and presentation is very good, i have a doubt, so here in india we don't have s23+ in display only base s23 and ultra, I've used both for almost 5 minutes and i have seen many reviews and i am 99% sure that i would go with the plus, its just perfect in every aspect, however I've seen a lot of posts on reddit regarding the 393ppi of the plus, as it is full hd display and not qhd which is absolutely fine as I use my s8 on full hd, but still the ppi( pixel per inch) is very low, atleast thats what few people are saying, even the base s23 has 425 ppi, so according to you is this a deal breaker, or is it even noticeable at all?
Hello, thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate you reaching out and asking questions. I came from the s20 plus, which had a higher resolution, and I can honestly say that using this, I've not noticed a difference at all with the slightly lower ppi The only difference I've noticed is a much better battery life as the phone doesn't have to push such high resolutions. It's entirely up to you on what you decide, but in my experience, I'm very happy 😀
@@brucejunboxing thank you soo much for your reply, will be going with plus for sure then, is 850usd a good price after card discount? (750$ after trade discount).
S23 Plus rocks! Flagship feel without the flagship price. Gorgeous display for movies and browsing, the processor lets me multitask like crazy, and the camera captures stunning photos and videos, even in low light. Plus, the in-screen fingerprint sensor unlocks it in a snap. Just a heads up, some screen protectors can be finicky with the sensor. I grabbed a fingerprint-compatible one from Gadgetshieldz and now it's flawless!

Hey, thanks for your comment. I've not had much time testing the Ultra as I personally found it too big. So I decided to go for the Plus which in my opinion is the preferred choice overall. I'll be making battery saving tip videos soon. The battery is larger on the ultra, so I'd assume you'd get a slightly longer battery life. Hope this is helpful
At least if you choose the s23+, you're also benefiting from better build quality and a great screen. The other changes may not be that significant, but you're getting a great flagship phone. Thanks for your comment, and enjoy your s23+
My SOT is about 6 hours. This will vary per user depending on background resources etc etc, but I think for screen on time, that is pretty great. My S20 Plus doesn't even reach 5 hours anymore with constant use. 😪 Happy I upgraded 😀
@@brucejunboxing Yes. Every year new Android update alongwith new apps which will require more RAM and few might need more power as well and now I think it's last update they sent so better to upgrade.
Yeah, it is a good idea to eventually give in and upgrade, I have known of past Android phones to live for years and years, but without the security of OS upgrades, it's like tempting fate. I love my S23 Plus, and I'm sure you will as well, especially coming from note series 😀
That's a great case choice. Though it doesn't include earbuds, you can pick them up relatively cheap these days, especially if you go a generation down. Thanks for your comment 👍

I just got one of these. My first new phone in a long time. So it's hard for me to figure out how everything works. I have a question. Is the glass on this harden off that I don't need to put up glass protector over it? I've already done that, but I kinda regret it because the screen was so pretty before I put the glass protector on. It seemed to resist fingerprints. Should I take the glass protection off? Please excuse typos.. still learning how the phone works. 😊
Hey, thanks for reaching out. In my personal experience, the gorilla glass victus 2 is very robust, though there is always a risk of mishap, which I'm prepared to take for a better user experience. It'll all depend if you're willing to risk not using a screen protector, and if you are, then I'd use the phone without one. Hope this helps 😀
I just got my s23 plus tonight. Haven't even set it up yet. Going to figure out the best way to transfer everything from my s21 plus. Curious about the difference in charging between 25 and 45 watt charging times.
Great news, there is an app called Smart Switch, which is very easy to use. You can use a cable or WiFi connection to copy one phone to the other. Hope you like your new phone as much as I do. Let me know your verdict on the faster charging, and thanks for commenting. 😀
Thank you very much. The s23 plus will be a great option for maps, and the larger screen will be beneficial. It also has a great battery, so it is a serious contender 😀

Thank You! Right now I have s23. But phone often heats up. And battery life is no the best. Planing to switch to s23 plus. Right now I get 3 to 5 h of sot. I just cant stand fact that Iphone have so good looking accesories, cases etc, but for android phones they are just silly. @@brucejunboxing
@@brucejunboxing i am thiking about that, for more customization, user friendly, battery back ups , inhancing Display quality Samsung is always great .
Being totally honest, and my s20 plus also had higher resolution. I thought it was going to be noticed. I think it's a good move to save battery life, and as we only hold our phones a short distance from our eyes, you can't notice it at all 😀
I've just ordered my S23+ and my current phone is the Samsung A12 so this is going to be a massive upgrade for me. So looking forward to trying out my new phone 😃 Just subscribed to your channel too.
Thanks for your comment I've upgraded from Samsung S20 Plus, which had QHD, and I can't tell the difference. Resolution only really matters on larger screens IMO it's just technical jargon otherwise. Maybe they will re add QHD but I doubt it as battery life is much better without it. What phone are you using now?
Oh no did you get a screen protector? I know the s20 plus came built in with one and these models have stopped doing them. I'm getting my protector ASAP
@alfiebm That's crazy have you spoken to Samsung? Could it be a defective model? It's always good to screen protector. I'm surprised they don't ship them pre installed anymore 😞
I bought mine 2 weeks ago and after an update it is overheating so much. I can't even browse the internet or it is already heating up...I bought this phone cuz I thought it wouldnt have this problem because I heard the s24 had an overheating issue....im really sad and also upset.

Hello to you in Mauritius from the United Kingdom. Thanks for reaching out. Sorry, your country doesn't ship 512gb. That must be very frustrating. You could try a proxy shipping option. However, I have no idea how to do that, unfortunately. Sorry, I'm not much help, but I do hope you find a way to get that version 😀
@@ericparlatore Another great phone, I came from the s20 Plus, I think cameras have plateaued. I like their AI stuff and the way you can isolate backgrounds as you shoot. When I have tested this in depth I will do a comparison video. Either way IMO you can rely on this camera to get good results, s23+ is great for video too :)
Hi, my S23 plus has a McAfee antivirus installed from the factory with minimal features. Question: Do I need to install an additional antivirus such as Bitdefender or Norton? Thks
Hey, personally, I don't use antivirus software, but McAfee is a pretty good amount of protection. If you think Norton or Bitdefender can provide you with a more carefree experience, then consider those options and uninstall McAfee. Hope this helps, and thanks for reaching out 😀
Samsung upgraded their selfie camera and made improvements through software on their rear modules, I have upgraded from S20 Plus, so I have seen huge camera improvements. Including improved processor improvements as well as a slightly larger battery, this is a very good upgrade option even if you're coming from S22 plus.
I can't comment on that yet, but I'd take a guess that the newer cpu would perform better. This also depends on user needs. For me, I don't need the latest and greatest, but for someone else, they might need that computing power. It also depends if you need to upgrade now or can afford to wait for their next version 😀 Let me know what you decide 😀
@@brucejunboxing thanks for that! have you had any issues with previous exynos chips, like everyone else? because theres alot of argument against exynos and snapdragon

Thank you so much for your feedback. If you can afford the ultra, I'd get that, but the S23 plus is good for most scenarios. It's the perfect balance. 😀
It can seem different when changing Phones and operating systems, if you feel it is a downgrade then I suggest returning it and sticking with your iPhone 14 Pro Max. Samsung s23 and iPhone 14 are head to head competing. For me personally coming from s20 Plus to this phone is worlds apart :)
Dont mean to nitpick but outside the US the term is Aluminium not Aluminum, or as a british speaking person, are you trying to appeal to an American audience.
Hey, no, you're not nitpicking. You're totally right. I was trying to slip a bit of American speaking in there. My demographics do include America and the UK as the main countries my content is shown to. I have also had this with hoover and Vacuum. Why can't we all just say the same and spell the same. I guess the world would be boring if we did that 😀
it's just a waste of time and money buying this garbage s23 plus phone!! it has way too many problems like the camera will not work on tight spaces, it will get super hot by just charging it, plu NO s-pen..etc.etc***😡***
Hey, if you need the s-pen, you need to get the Ultra version as this phone is the plus model. If your model is overheating, you may need to get a replacement. Hope this helps 😀

Friendly advice, don't go for the ultra, the screen protector thing will make you worked up, basically its hard to handle, gets larger with the cover and just the overall experience is not worth it the s24 ultra is a better pick because of the flat display, you would have to wait it out though@loisgoodmovies8474
What about the battery?
The battery for me is good but it does go down a lot because I play games. That is to be expected to happen to any phone.
I came from the s20 plus, which had a higher resolution, and I can honestly say that using this, I've not noticed a difference at all with the slightly lower ppi
The only difference I've noticed is a much better battery life as the phone doesn't have to push such high resolutions.
It's entirely up to you on what you decide, but in my experience, I'm very happy 😀
@@brucejunboxing thank you soo much for your reply, will be going with plus for sure then, is 850usd a good price after card discount? (750$ after trade discount).
@umikesh I'd say that's a great price 👍
Mine overheats from just looking at comments on TH-cam. So I’m having to use my iPhone 14 for now 😒

I want to upgrade from A22 to s23 plus and I'm planning to buy at the end of this month.
Is this a big upgrade 🤔 😂?
There are incremental changes here. Have you thought about their s24+?
@brucemjson Yep, but I like this s23 plus more than the s24+, and the main thing I choose s23+ over s24+ is the price.
At least if you choose the s23+, you're also benefiting from better build quality and a great screen. The other changes may not be that significant, but you're getting a great flagship phone. Thanks for your comment, and enjoy your s23+
What's the Screen On Time you getting on it? I want to buy .
My SOT is about 6 hours. This will vary per user depending on background resources etc etc, but I think for screen on time, that is pretty great. My S20 Plus doesn't even reach 5 hours anymore with constant use. 😪 Happy I upgraded 😀
@@brucejunboxing Thanks for your reply. I am planning to upgrade from Note 10 Lite which still give SOT of around 6 hours.
@@prashantn687 That is pretty good for an older device, I guess this way you get same performance and better specs as well as camera modules too?
@@brucejunboxing Yes. Every year new Android update alongwith new apps which will require more RAM and few might need more power as well and now I think it's last update they sent so better to upgrade.
Yeah, it is a good idea to eventually give in and upgrade, I have known of past Android phones to live for years and years, but without the security of OS upgrades, it's like tempting fate. I love my S23 Plus, and I'm sure you will as well, especially coming from note series 😀
Great review and has helped me make my decision on my upgrade in a few weeks. Thank you 😊

It got an S-view case the same day I bought the phone. It's held up pretty well. I'm a little salty, that for the money, it doesn't include earbuds.
That's a great case choice. Though it doesn't include earbuds, you can pick them up relatively cheap these days, especially if you go a generation down. Thanks for your comment 👍
I haven't bought a sumsung phone in my life.im coming from using a xiami phone and would like to upgrade, well i think s23plus would be a great choice as my first sumsung device
From personal experience, you are making a fantastic choice 😀 when I first bought a samsung, I swore to never look anywhere else again.
@@brucejunboxing Yes i'll probably use smart switch to do it. I think i did that the last time.

Great video. One question, is this s23 plus ideal for Uber eat delivery? I mean will this work really well on map, etc?
Thank you very much. The s23 plus will be a great option for maps, and the larger screen will be beneficial. It also has a great battery, so it is a serious contender 😀

@@brucejunboxing Welcome bro
Only issue I have is the 1080 screen down grade fro the older S phones that had 1440 screens. 😥
Being totally honest, and my s20 plus also had higher resolution. I thought it was going to be noticed. I think it's a good move to save battery life, and as we only hold our phones a short distance from our eyes, you can't notice it at all 😀
What about the battery, im gaming user, if i play many hours games, how mny hours the phone will last?

I hope next year Samsung put a qhd display on their plus version its what Samsung great but they are behind now
Thanks for your comment I've upgraded from Samsung S20 Plus, which had QHD, and I can't tell the difference. Resolution only really matters on larger screens IMO it's just technical jargon otherwise.
Maybe they will re add QHD but I doubt it as battery life is much better without it.
What phone are you using now?

The glass on this phone although stronger but unfortunately is prone to scratches
Oh no did you get a screen protector? I know the s20 plus came built in with one and these models have stopped doing them. I'm getting my protector ASAP

Hope this helps, and thanks for reaching out 😀
Thank you
But isn't the camera is the same from last year
Samsung upgraded their selfie camera and made improvements through software on their rear modules, I have upgraded from S20 Plus, so I have seen huge camera improvements. Including improved processor improvements as well as a slightly larger battery, this is a very good upgrade option even if you're coming from S22 plus.
what about banana blur issue??
Thankfully it hasn't affected my device, it is present in some models and Samsung are working on software patches to fix the issue 😀

s23 with snapdragon 8 gen 2 or s24 with exynos 2400 (rumoured) which would be better?
I can't comment on that yet, but I'd take a guess that the newer cpu would perform better. This also depends on user needs. For me, I don't need the latest and greatest, but for someone else, they might need that computing power.
It also depends if you need to upgrade now or can afford to wait for their next version 😀
