Totally appreciate these tutorials and walkthroughs. The V-Collection offers endless possibilities, I only scratched the surface despite owning it since version 6. Really happy to listen to Bryan and learning from him, thanks a lot!
I love all of Arturia's instruments that have the ability to load your own samples: top quality samplers with excellent filters and built-in effects are a true sandbox for experimentation and inspiration. Thank you!
i guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Brayden Luciano I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Curious: could the samples that come with the Emulator be pulled over onto the CMI? This happened a lot with the original hardware units, so I’m just curious.
You could always just record an audio stem of a sample from one synth and load it into the other I suppose, But I bet when Arturia update this synth later on that will happen.
Tweaks the Rate and Delay parameters of the LFO with the vibrato set at zero and the actual LFO adressed to... nothing else. For that amazing extra-special effect on the sound.
Does the emulation got multiple outs DAW routing? I still got the Original. It's an amazing machine with 8 individual output channels and an unparalleled powerful sound. Got the rack edition and the extreme small display makes programming a bit awkward :) Very tempting... Got to demo if you really nailed it :) Cheers
The big question : is import of EMU factory presets or bank possible? Not talking about individual samples. Good job guys! Next E-Mu EIII? Do you need my EIII to start as soon as possible :)
I already have CMI and I'm not that interested in the Emulator sample library (I prefer to make my own). What differences are there betweeon the Emulator and CMI that would make it worth the extra investment?
Those of us paying for v collection 7 subscription plan on splice........will we be getting an option to upgrade to 8 with additional payments? I need 8! Stage 73 is my favorite instrument out of all the plugins I have. And you updated it!
Emulator will sound fuller, less phasey. It was a better machine, having had the benefit of years of additional development in the computer world that was going on in the early 80s.
The Emulator II and the Fairlight have very different sounds, and were used for very different purposes in the 80's, so I'm not sure how much a comparison would be useful because they are very different machines.
@@bobjoe7508 Oh, WHATEVER! PFFFFT! Give me a break. That is such a non-answer. Many artists that wanted the CMI, but couldn't afford it, jumped on EII's.
Sarebbe cosa buona e giusta in un prossimo aggiornamento, avere più multisplit, poter caricare le immagini dei floppy della library in circolazione, e pure i soundfont. 😉
How do you sync the arturia instruments like this with your DAW I muddled about but can't see how to sync them up with the daw tempo. Tried this, the jupiter and the arp2600 but I'm lost as to what settings in arturia v series of instruments I need to adjust
"from all the classic & legendary sounds to the modern, you get the whole package" - But you don't, do you. Having worked with the Emulator 11 in the flesh, a substantial amount of the gorgeously atmospheric & aggressive orchestral sounds - cellos, violins, violas, bass, quartets, tremalandi, full orchestra etc... are missing.
Well that is disheartening to hear. I was listening for some of the stuff that I'm sure you are mentioning in the demos, and I wrote it off thinking "they can't play EVERY sound in the demo"...but maybe that's not the case. There are some Kontakt libraries out there of EII stuff. I wonder if it's possible / efficient / a good idea to bring them into this?
@@hillaryknox I honestly don't know. My problem is that if Aturia had been honest about the sound catalog available for their E11 I simply would not have paid the 199 euros & upgraded from V7. I feel cheated for the first time from this company.
Seems decent, Propellerheads Reason NNXT accomplished many of these feats 20 years ago. If you guys added time stretch/sync to bpm of project functions, this would be really special. I will still try it out!
indeed it sounds too clean, compared to the old hardware. Doesn't sound bad, but as said, too clean. I keep on using the sample based UVI instrument, which sounds more authentic
Pretty silly comments as for 1. Its an "emulation" of an Emulator .. pun intended 2. It's the same for all kind of softsynths no matter how they are coded, you will never get the same sound as the original no matter if it's a digital or analog synth you are trying to emulate and how much time you spent on analyzing the original circuits. No producer of softsynth claims them to be exact copies of the originals. It is merely recreations of classic synths with often extra things added for greater creativity and the posibility to store presets on some of the real old analog stuff that didn't have programability at all. Even an actual hardware recreation with real analog discrete components that often cost as much as you'd have to pay for a working 40 year old original do sound considerably closer, they still don't get all the way to just 99% of the original sound. For what you pay for the complete Bundle from Arturia, you'd still have to sell a couple organs or your granny to get the money for an Emulator II in working condition
if you're explaining aspects of the instrument that are related to the time it takes between a key is pressed and a sound if affected by a parameter, it would be nice to have the reference of seeing the keys being pressed. Otherwise, the demonstration isn't really useful

@Briggs Asher Happy to help xD
Just upgraded to v8 to get the OB-Xa and the Emulator. The vocoder is fascinating too.
Great demo but does it have all the classic sounds/disks that came with the original. Will we get all the sounds used by the famous 80's bands?

agreed! hope it has all the classics + more :) and would be awesome to see them expand the E-mu series!
they said in the livestream today that you can import samples from .eii files, but they have not reverse engineered all the stored parameters yet.
Would be awesome if you could import files from EMXP in all formats but that’s dreaming a bit. Got tons of Emax libraries I’d love to hear with this.

We need an Emu II vs CMI comparison video.

How to open emux files in emulator?
can you import .EII files?
Great question. That would indicate if this really is an Emulator II emulator or not.
Yes, you can import .eii files after clicking on browse button.

At 15:00, what are you trying to demonstrate? The LFO is not assigned to do anything!
It's assigned to modulate the filter frequency.
Can I use it as a patch editor for my real Emulator II?
Wait till you hit 60 .. the differences drastically decrease 🙄
Looks like the "subtractor" from reason

It’s not an EII if the sounds aren’t going through the original ACTUAL analog filters.
Right, well you probably noticed that Arturia makes software re-creations of things with actual analog filters, so...here's another one.
