I discovered Snakeboarding in 1992. Worked in a store in Tucson, AZ that sold them. We had a half-pipe in the store. It was a dream job for a teen back then. Got to do some traveling and eventually started selling them on my own for a while. I miss riding so much. There's nothing quite like the sensation you get carving a long hill on a Snakeboard. The boards were so different back then. The skinny crossbar made any rail slide tricks so difficult. And to all of the people that keep saying it's just a ripstick with four wheels... you have no idea how wrong you are. It's more like snowboarding and it's glorious.

Probably going with Streets Skateboarders and different type of sizes, length, air, pressures, and maybe energy to have enough controlling on the skateboarders to landing it smoothly!

i honestly thought those boards were an unusable gimmick. until i saw pros using them. those boards are awesome, and those guys have ridiculous skills. this was a great watch.

Interesting, never seen one of these before... the comments say it's like a snowboard which seems pretty comparable to me. I wondered at first how tf do you even make it go when you're strapped in but looks like the rip stick or my fav the free skates.

Snakeboarding replaced skateboarding with my group of friends in the early 90's. There was just no competition for just cruising around.
