Good information! I just got a pair of Xero minimalist Huarache inspired sandals, and am having a frustrating problem with my left one: The strap between the toe slips back and forth, and the sole seems to separate from the foot as i walk. No such problem on the right. Ive tried loosening and tightening many different things but I can't seem to find that balance. I'm not sure where i should be concentrating.

Did you build those huaraches that you are adjusting? If so, they look perfect! If you can buy them, what brand are they? They look solid!

They appear to be the Shamma Warriors. I have a pair and haven't been able to get the straps right, but now that I've seen this video I hope to try them again when I get off work and hopefully strike the right chords with them.
The build quality is excellent and I think they'll be worth the price when I can get the straps working. I had originally attributed my difficulties to the fact that my foot structure is still changing rather dramatically as I made the switch to fully barefoot style shoes (Lems Primal 2's) in August of 2021, but now that I see this video I think I'll just have to give the sandal straps another go with a bit more patience. I've started running completely barefoot in my neighborhood but I can't get much distance without blisters so I think it's time to give the sandals another shot.
