    Outstanding!!! Both Ledecky & McIntosh are doing great!!! Ledecky has been dominating for decades and she is 10 years older than McIntosh. There are always new young & faster swimmers every year and older swimmers are aging and worn out....nothing last forever for mankind....

    Well done !
    Another example (among many others) of an American swimmer "winning" at home (or in a "friendly" place) after touching second when it's very close ...
    There is no doubt on the live feed (and the replay) that Summer touched first and she first looked surprised when she saw the results (and 8/100 ? Seriously ?)
    I just hope this will happen less and less in the years to come (the surest way to avoid this "problem" is to win by at least 15/100).
    It is now very easy to rig times with the right computer program and the statistics show very clearly that if it is very close, the American wins with overwhelming majority, WAY superior to the expected mathematical probability.
    BTW American athletes have NOTHING to do with this scam and don't even know about it, though a few of them were at times quite surprised to see they had won the race (or lost depending on your country of origin). The usual answer given to them (or the loser) is that the swimmer did not push properly on the plate ...
    Anyway, I don't mind at all if you don't believe this but keep an open and objective mind, just in case ....
    Peace !
    PS : Unless you're living in Disneyland, you know that when money and/or politics are involved, there is gonna be cheating.
    ALWAYS !
    Elections, sport (even Chess now !), hosting the Olympics or the World Cup, or getting a big juicy military contract, NONE will escape cheating and corruption. That is just the way Humans behave, unfortunately !
    On a last note, Katie Ledecky is a fantastic champion and a great role model but I don't believe she will stand a chance in the distances under 800m at the next Olympics, in 2 years, with Titmus, Mc Intosh and others. My pick is she will win the 1500 and medal on the 800 and the 4x200. Still one of the greatest swimmers ever though !

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire ปีที่แล้ว

      stfu and keep crying. The replay came down to touch, Katie is taller and has a longer reach. You're trying to call a race off of "head placement" when someone has 4inch deficit in height and 6 in arm length. She lost.
