You have really championed the Pension plan details and more importantly how you present it , this presenting method really makes difference in people's lives. I am highly obliged as I followed you and secured my retirement portion with Annuity -- Kudos to you. It is not wise to compare against other schemes , people need to understand what is the fundamental of pension/annuity is , it is guaranteed amount . To make it very simple this is the only contract document with a company where amount in Indian rupees is clearly written that this much amount one is going to get. I am writing this specifically as I see several comments on percentage return. It clearly says it is 100% guaranteed return with specified amount. only pitfall is if Govt. goes default then you are doomed.

I am asking this because like for Banks, only 5 lacs of your deposited amount is secured in case the bank goes into bankruptcy, similar thing could happen to Insurance companies as well, isn't it? Hi Sir, you have explained very nicely about the guaranteed income plan XIRR % but here I have a question let's say if someone wanted to invest at 37 years and Deferred for 10 years or let's say if he wants immediate Annuity in that case don't you the returns % are also depending on the age factor as well please advise

Yes. it will slightly depend on age. Hence, these comparisons are only to provoke thoughts and bring awareness to people.

@@EveryPaisaMatters Thank you so much sir for your reply. Sir is advised to invest 50 lacs in pension plans at the age of 37 or better to invest in PMS or split my corpus into multiple sectors in mutual funds

It will depend on multiple factors like your assets, liabilities, risk appetite etc.
