- Snagged a couple of the coolest catfish i have seen in awhile.
The Royal Farlowella catfish is a great addition to community aquariums. It accepts a wide variety of water parameters so it does well in almost any peaceful fish. Being an omnivore it will also graze on algae but should not be a staple diet.

♥️ Whiptail catfish - awesome. I used to boil zucchini (then cooled and cut in half long ways) for mine when I kept them. They thrived.
Someone mentioned a few weeks ago how well Rainbow Gobies remove all types of algae. LFS got three in by mistake. I scored them for $8 each. They immediately went to work on algae. After two days their 4 g breeder tank was sparkling. I've been rotating Anubias, covered with algae, from other tanks. (Their mouths don't allow them to get the tiny edges, leaving a halo like effect around each leaf!) They specialize in hair algae and hard to scrape off the glass green algae. They can clean a large Anubias in one day. Currently looking for more to clean all tanks, all the time. Love the new cats. LFS had one large one in the same tank as the Gobies. It was a very interesting specimen. Great Vid.

If you have enough tanks scope, than go with it. Time gets tight when you're tank load gets up there ; )

I can relate my "Rainbows" are very curios and can get a bit nippy with each other and chase around my loaches, as that happened a rainbow got caught in half of this ship ornament and we had to push him out but died within 2 hours from damaged scales and I think a bladder was damaged
Samuels Aquariums sorry about your rainbow. I lost a Cory cat not long ago who got caught in a fake log . I pushed him out but it was too late. Have to be careful with ornaments that have holes not quite big enough for the fish to get through.😔

Same here. One of my Rainbows got caught in my coliseum ornament. I plugged up the holes with cut up sections of AquaClear sponge filters after that.
But yeah, with ornaments a good thought might be similar to the one with fish - don't put fish together than can fit into each other's mouths, make sure your fish are small enough to easily fit through holes in ornaments, or so big they can't even fit through TO get stuck. Or use my sponge trick, if doable.

they have been bred in captivity because the one i have was captive bred i bought him from my lfs awhile back when someone brought the spawn in at just over an inch i have no information on how he did it or parameters or who it was tho
what are those little fish (bottom right corner at 5:08) it seems like one has a lot of yellowing on its fins and tail and the others are speckled?
