Honestly, it's about time Endeavor was forced to confront Touya. After all this time, all Touya really wants at his core is the acknowledgement of his father, and the moment he had the opportunity to have that, he took it.
Since Dabi's blueflame burns as hot as his hatred, this just shows how dangerous it is for anyone's health to obsess over revenge. It's important to have friends that can pull you back from the abyss. Shoto himself was initially motivated by his hate for his dad and it prevented him from growing and he even acknowledged that it was holding him back. He went on to say that he could have ended up just like Dabi if he hadn't chosen to heal and make friends. If anything, it shows me how flawed I am because of my anger.
@@mattgerrish908 Honestly, Toya was super close to healing, it was him realizing that he was forgotten by Endeavor when he returned home that pushed him over the edge. He had nobody to pull him back, and no way to help himself heal, just the same unhealthy coping mechanisms that he had as a child.
@@natsuotodoroki didn't he burn down that orphanage before he left? I'd still say he was too far gone before coming home. He just wasn't a full-fledged villain yet.
@@mattgerrish908 Actually he didn’t. That’s a common misconception. He did start a fire, but it was easily put out on account of his quirk being out of practice. The evil doctor actually confirmed that he burned it down to avoid anyone following their trail.
@@natsuotodorokiregardless of what the fire did Toya was still really unstable when he was trying to find his way home. The only difference between then and after he left the house was he had something to believe in, even if it was in vain. He believed that his father would have changed after his supposed death, but he didn't. This just goes to show that even hope can torment someone. It's no wonder Toya snapped.
Anime Touya is more muscular than manga version, just like Shigaraki.

A lot of people have the misconception that the glowing baby is the first quirk user. Technically it is, because it was the first ability that was called a "quirk". But the rise of supernatural abilities goes wayback years before that glowing baby was born, and it was called "meta-ability" by the people. Just by having a meta-ability could get someone killed by the normal humans, kinda like in x-men. The world of MHA is basically an alternative future scenario of x-men if the normal humans stopped hunting the mutants
