- One of the best parts of being a filmmaker, is when you get to document your life, and honor someone else's, all at the same time. I picked up my Panasonic S5 tonight, chose my Minolta 28mm Telesor f/2.8 vintage lens, set a dark, moody environment to create the perfect scene, decided to use a 4:3 aspect ratio, and memorialized my friend Claudia, just as she would have wanted.

@@tanyaacunningham2419 lol. I think what I loved most about her was she was the funniest person and the most serious person all at the same time. Like straight from the hood, but the most spiritual being in one body. She was so awesome, anybody who knew her will never forget her I bet.

Rock -- Thank you for this tribute, these memories, helping us all see through your eyes the beautiful human that Claudia was. I missed out on developing a friendship with her like you did, but that incredible moment in time when our paths crossed and we worked together, excavating + reimagining + sharing those soul-quaking stories from our lives... that moment is a bright, powerful, inextinguishable flame I will carry in my heart for the rest of my days. And like you, I'll miss knowing that she's here on this Earth, walking + shining her light among us. Claudia -- sis-star -- rest in peace, rise in power, shine on forever. 🤍🤍🤍

Condolences. It's different for everybody but when you get into your, say, mid 50s plus, these things sadly become a regular occurrence. There's a realization of your own mortality and the fact that you simply can't prepare for this - never gets any easier. On the flip side, you and Claudia had a strong shared bond and friendship that enriched both your lives and that's something you won't ever forget.
