  • Had more power than yesterday. Needed to pump some to get planing and switched to a weed fin and had to tweak based position but man this was so much fun out in knee to hip high swells. Comfortable like this vs scared in similar on the blast 145

Thank you for sharing. I also drive a Kode 135 and have a lot of fun with it. With 7.7 I ride a 43cm freeride fin because the 38cm Freewave doesn't have enough pressure for me.

Thank you, I may try to use a bigger fin in single fin mode. I've got a 40cm k4 fang that was a bit too big for my 115 dyno but may work with the wider tail on the kode. It works well on my big windsup too. The 38cm weed slalom (MUF) was also about right it felt to me, but felt a lot stiffer in turns than the stock fin. The stock fin was more playful but kept grabbing weeds.

That looks like a ton of fun!

I like this board A LOT. That was a real test. The Blast is really uncomfortable to hit these swells at too high an angle because it bangs around. This one is like autopilot if you want, or can easily steer up and down swells. Can't wait for a little more wind and to try it in thrusters, it'll be way more skaty

@@aeroegnr I need to start venturing outside like that. Do you prefer to jibe or tack out in the swells.

@@gusthunter8780 yeah! Today I figured if something happened I'd easily drift to kite beach and walk back..as for that it depends on the board. The blast or windsup or a foil board I can tack if I'm not planing. If I'm planing I prefer to attempt a jibe. The wave boards I haven't gotten the fast tacks down yet but I made some carve to slow jibes tody in the kode. The noses don't have a lot of volume on wave boards, it's more in the back so more comfortable to jibe. Anyways I try to time it in a flat section or even off a wave face if I can to get the boost. I've found that I was going to light in the carve and it helps a lot to carve tight and hard. I just haven't gotten my sail movement quite right to get it smooth but the hard carve makes it easier to come out clew first with some sail power
