Man I will never forget when Jeremy was racing San Jose spartan stadium and made my wife the happiest fan ever and my best friends wife and my wife were standing out of the 10 mile long line to get his autograph the two girls just wanted to see the king and when we were ready to go back to the stands he actually looked right at my wife and freind as they waved to Jeremy he said hold on !! And they froze he went out of his way to take pictures with them which we still have !! A day of supercross that will never be forgotten!! And the two still talk about it today !!! Thank you Jeremy for making the best day of their lives !!!!
I remember wanting nothing but McGrath's autograph in Phoenix one year when I was a kid, line was cut off and MC saw me sneak in looked right at me laughed and waved me up for an autograph an picture. I was maybe 10 at the time.
I remember in Houston, when Damon Bradshaw was the big deal, and Jeremy said in an interview that Bradshaw liked to intimidate other riders, Jeremy said Bradshaw did not intimidate him.
Ricky was secluded... I got to go to a1 with the honda off road manager at the time, 05 or 06, got to hangout with windham, mc, short in the honda rig upstairs lounge... those guys were so cool. Couldn't even get 30 secs with rc
My brother Jake had cancer in 98 he eventually passed away but he met Jeremy got his jersey and he signed it for him and Superdome in Michigan he is the king the best ever .....
Back on the 90s it was awesome. I still remember the mc add going over his almost perfect season and the round he got second the as says "bad taco". Dudes were having fun with it. There are a few riders now but i think media is so on all the time and brands are so main stream that everything needs to be a certain way
I'm happy they are accepting personalities more like barcia or Jett the sport I'd to dull when riders don't express themselves cause racing is an agressive sport
I think the beef between riders came from the increase in pressure from money and the mindset of must-win, instead of the 90's where everyone tried their best but left it on the track. The 90s were also the last era of enjoying life together outside of racing, and contracts even helped put an end to that. Jeremy even got in trouble for riding another brands jet ski one weekend.
Now we know why Tomac stayed well away from the BS....I still remember Baggett coming out talking trash about Eli's dad's money......where's Baggett now?
