I really appreciated this video! Have watched a number of you videos on trotting and paces horses and have one of each. Your videos are so clear and helpful and encouraging! I am in northern Ontario, Canada and a long way from any other gaited horses. Thanks so much.

TY Ivy! My horse is a pacer. The arena I have access to is very deep. I have been working on head down and having him flat walk as fast as he can go without pacing. I can’t remember if it was you that advised that, but it’s working! This is the first time I have heard you speaking about the deep footing. What I thought was making it harder is probably what is making it better!
Regarding the hills: I feel like it is smoother going uphill, but a friend that shows 5 gaited horses tells me to go downhill. I am nervous about going fast downhill. I am not the most experienced rider and I am afraid he will trip. Education on the mechanics of downhill carriage might help me, as well as an example of a good slope.
Wish I could watch live. You’re amazing!

I don't like to gait or do anything other then walk down hill..I feel it's too hard on their front joints? Plus easier to trip. Your thoughts.
