Why would the youngest roster in the league that earned the 1st seed in the West last year destroy their chemistry, continuity, and draft arsenal only to shorten their championship contender window? 🤔😂😂 Folks really don't understand how significant continuity and chemistry is for a team?!? OKC is a young, collectively high IQ team that will be even more hell for teams to deal with next season and the year after. Damn near the whole roster would have been together for 4/5 years AND collectively in their physical prime. Trading for Giannis would be stupid and folks that keep speculating, fantasizing, wishing that OKC make this trade have short-sighted vision. OKC is NOT a free agent destination so what Presti has done is set the franchise up for LONG-TERM relevancy by accumulating such a large trade chest. He's going to lock-up his big 3 and the remainder of the roster will be basically high skilled, high IQ 2-way players on rookie contracts. At the end or near the end of those contracts, those players should have developed enough to garner another 1st round pick in a trade or that player will accept a team friendly deal to remain with the Thunder. Presti will continue to do that to keep the small market OKC relevant for years. I could be wrong but that makes the most sensible and logical conclusion what Presti is doing. Due to the shrewdness and cleverness of Presti, OKC don't need to be desperate like the rest of league and just make a trade liquidating their draft capital and depth for Giannis or any other superstar.
OKC has all the leverage not to do any trade. Their problem would be keeping it sustainable. If a Milwaukee trade happens, it would involve Lopez or Portis first. Giannis doesn't make sense for OKC, unless SGA signs up for it. They are basically running the same system in OKC, only SGA is surrounded by players who can defend and shoot, something in short supply in Milwaukee.
No disrespect for Giannis. But the thunder is an legit contender and has all the right pieces to win it all. Trading for Giannis could cause them to lose important pieces and hurt the team chemistry. Also, having to rely on the availability of an superstar could hurt them, Thunder is still an legit team even with several of their important players hurt. I think it is way better to have several good role players than an superstar. I like what the thunder is rn, I would definitely be sad if they decided to trade for Giannis.
Chet, Dort & 1-2 throw ins, w 5-7 1st picks & 4-5 2nds I would do that in a heart beat to get giannis. The problem would be if that would be enough for the bucks.
No need for giannis OKC is better with Hartenstein.. And they have a small. Ball Lineup 💪💯 giannis is atarting to be an injur prone player. Okc hopefully better gets Tari Eason or Amen Thompson for additional defensive strategies
I tried a 3 Team Trade including OKC, Bucks and Lakers: Bucks give Dame and Giannis away. The Lakers will get Lillard and OKC gets Giannis and Hayes from LAL. The Bucks will then get 5 First Rounder from OKC and 2 (29 and 31) from LAL. Furthermore they will get 7 Players: Hartenstein, Cason Wallace and Topic from OKC and Russell, Hachimura, Reaves and Christie from LAL (probably Knecht as well or instead of someone). The Bucks can rebuild and have with Topic, Christie and Wallace (and Knecht) already a young core to develop. This rebuild have a base like the thunder had with SGA and the rest.
@@xastric6944 OKC also has no reason to help LA land Lillard. And Milwaukee might get more back playing hardball with teams over each star separately.
We don't need the Lakers in every conversation, plus LA would give up the players that make their system successful. LA mortgages its future for a declining vet, and compound to that, another defensive liability. Plus the haul Milwaukee gets are all role players. It will be years before their title window comes up again. Nah, easier to replace coaches than to do this.
@procopiomacaspac3087 Yeah I think every player should honor the contract they agreed to by signing, but sometimes they don't. That's how Milwaukee got Lillard. GA's been hinting at the possibility of leaving for awhiles now and if he did request out, they'd pretty much have to accommodate him, especially after all he's done for them. And I do believe they would receive that massive haul in return
No… okc do not trade for Giannis, I don’t think he would make up for losing Chet or Jdub or even maybe both due to cap space. I don’t think Giannis even fits our style we have developed
not even close to worth it you give up all assets for a few possible good yrs and we’re already good enough to compete fr fr that’s how so many teams end up screwing themselves for yrs like the bucks like they he clippers like the nets etc etc and your in purgatory for 3-10 yrs presti is way to smart for that trade deadline for under market or avg market role players and FA is the way to go for my thunder cause tbh if we can’t get this done in the next 2 yrs while we have i❤ he’ll prob be off the books cause chet and dub will be up for max contracts and we need all the wiggle room we can get so it’ll be interesting cause we on limited time with these rookie deals but we got enough to replinsh during the draft if need be
Thunder fan here and as long as SGA, Chet, JDub, IJoe, AWiggs, and maybe Caso won't be included in the trade, I'm good. they can get IHart, Lu, Caruso, Jaylin, Kenrich, Topic, Dieng, and numerous first and second round picks
@@Ninety2boss Who's the comparable player another team is offering? There are only 2 other comparable rookie contract players in the league; the Spurs aren't trading Wemby, and the Magic aren't trading Paolo.
Let's be realistic, there are only a handful of teams that can even put out a Giannis trade package: Thunder, Rockets, Pelicans, Spurs, and Warriors. And you can almost throw out Spurs/Warriors, as their young talent pales in comparison to OKC/Rockets/Pelicans. The Pelicans have an advantage owning the soonest Bucks picks but used most of the rest of their picks on Murray. Unless the Pelicans put Zion on the table, OKC would have 0 incentive to include Chet or JDub in a trade for Giannis. Even then OKC is actually better off just not joining the Giannis sweepstakes. That's why if Giannis is traded, I'd be looking to New Orleans or Houston, not OKC.

Unlikly. Too risk for okc
Oklahoma City is not going after him they don't want some disgruntled superstar that doesn't want to be here
OKC would be stupid AF to do that trade, and the fact that Paul Pierce think they should do it only makes it more obvious that they souldn't.
Paul Pierce is never not obnoxious.
Hell no, don't disrupt the chemistry
Giannis is amazing but like..... nah man, im good.
Giving up Dort, IHart plus a bunch of picks, 2 of which are probably lottery, im good dude.
I love how the only way for Bucks to improve is for Rivers to get fired 😂😂😂
if im okc im not trading nothing. we already the best. im not risking chemistry.
Giannis for SGA. Imagine Giannis and Holmgren as a tandem. This is dynasty material
Trade the league’s second leading scorer for Giannis? Not a good idea.
@ Giannis has way more impact than SGA

OKC isn't trading either Chet or Dub for anyone.
Leave one small market to go to another 🤔🤦🏽♂️😂😂😂
The bucks are going to ask a massive haul if theyre going to trade giannis.

@BiggidyB 👆can't accept reality.
If he wants out, they'll have to take what they can get
@@Maxx-w9b thing is, giannis still has few years left in his contract.

I'm not doing this if I'm OKC when the Bucks want 5 o 6 draft picks,I would give max 3,maybe 4
Then it doesn't happen, lol. Gotta pay what Giannis is worth
Then there's nothing to talk about! Did you even think milwaukee wont ask a massive haul in return?
Why do you care for the picks, we want a championship, not young talent that wont bring us a ring.@procopiomacaspac3087
Hmm, I think we gotta remember Nets/KD situation. Can't see it happening without at least 5 first-rounders 🤷♂
Giannis would worth is 6 firsts and young stud
Giannis is not a good enough shooter. Chet was the perfect fit. Sadly, he got injured.

I see you're sneakily keeping Hartenstein too 👀
You will have to give up Chet. And if I’m OKC I will 100% do it to get Giannis. Chet might not last in the next 5 seasons.
