A careful reading and study of the score should serve you well. How succesful this will be, depends on your musical ability, passion for the music and perhaps above else your musical maturity and taste. Bach had maturing, advancing musicians in mind when he composed the WTK. They serve as explorations in to the tonalities of the wohltemperierte Stimmung. Above else they are, as the comment above me noted, companions for life. András Schiff often invokes Bülow's famous remark that Bach's Wohl-Temperiertes Klavier is the Old Testament of music. This analogy fits quite well with a continued engagement with it.
