Well cared for compared to what? The ones in dirty slaughter houses wandering in their own filth? Just because it’s better than most herd’s treatment, doesn’t mean they’re well cared for if they’re still hustled about like this. Animals need room to roam, not stuffed into cages like this! Sure, they’re outside, BUT their confined space is NOT adequate enough for their real natural needs! And hooking them up to machines to take their bodily fluids that are not yours to take, against their will, is not ok! Anyone who truly cares about animals would still not treat them like this! Can we just report this for misinformation? :D No excess abuse, no violence... the sheering process may seem frightening but this is how they are calm. I am not saying one cannot love a sheep more, and tend to it more carefully, but it's simply about the numbers. It is sad, but at least they have medical treatments and regular wool maintenance. Some moments where they are tight together is needed for their inspections. It is no different then when you take a dog to a vet. Difference is, your dog might live in a small house in it's entire life, to your entertainment and may suffer a lot of problems cause of your neglect and lack of knowledge :D

That’s just during processing. It’s partly due to efficiency and partly to keep them compliant. Most of the time they have plenty of space.
