I like the IFE remote on this plane. Honestly Good job Qatar Airways! Edit: I hope that other successful aircraft manufacturers keep their IFE remotes.

I flew with Qatar airways on 20th Dec 2018 to Islamabad from Schiphol Airport Amsterdam. The 777-300 ER was a very old one with small ugly screens and the usb port for charging my smartphone wasn't working. It was a huge disappointment. I was wondering - indeed- where is the famous Dreamliner and new 777-300 ER?
Subscribing as 1) palatable background music, none of that cyndi lauper on helium crap, 2) excellent written summary of the flight , usually there is either total silence or some fan boy trying to extract free tickets from the airline , best of luck for your travels ,

Nice review. Seat width in Qatar looks to be a little less vs Emirates. Was it comfortable? Have to make a decision between Emirates and Qatar and my preference always is comfortable seat.
I found the seats to be very comfortable! Legroom was brilliant! The last time I flew with Emirates the cabin was rather cramped but that is already 2 years ago. Maybe this has changed. I think you should base your decision on the aircraft type. If you can fly Emirates on the A380 I would choose them. If both are 777 then choose Qatar

ani_ joy you can have drinks and snacks whenever you want. On my flight the flight attendants did anything to fulfil the passengers' wishes. Concerning the main meals though there are fixed times . It's only in business and first class where you can order your food on demand.
Asiana is great too on the A380! Qatar might have a better looking cabin and a better IFE but Asiana has more legroom and way better flight attendants in my opinion :)

I thought on the right side of the plane you would have been sat in 26K as 26A is normally on the left side.

Those seats look incredibly thin. Delta has installed similar ones on their new A350s. How were the seats comfort wise?
Could not complain about the seats. They actually were really comfortable.
Delta has them on their 777-200 too, and they are very comfortable.
Id you want thin, suggest NOT to travel on the 787, as if sitting on hardboard planks
I don't fly qautar plan but i thing economy class it is very good.
