Like a well oiled and 100% functioning machine . So excellent . And , no, i just know that some smart ass is going to say it's nothing . Well, then, whoever you may be , you try it with your buddies and see how you manage .Oohrah Marines from way over here in the UK , very proud and honoured to have you brave men and women as an ally
Of course its not "nothing", it takes practice, discipline and effort. Then again, its their job. However, one has to realize that this is a dance troupe, an interpretation of actual, but practically obsolete drill.
Lonestar24 your a moron to say this drill is obsolete. skill is never outdated, once you think or know it is, suddenly, boom, you need it. I have one thing to ask you. what skills do you have that top this marine parade.
the most highly disciplined team ever, and one of the finest fighting forces in the entire WORLD. To be a MARINE requires self discipline and self respect, along with other traits, remember: THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE MARINES!
Shame on you 420 SCHMUCKS for Disliking it. My son is a Marine and that is a life of Honor, Dedication, and discipline. I'm going to say these guys have all those qualities to learn this routine.
Jack o Now I think this video ia pretty cool, but don't you see the hypocrisy in what you wrote? You are both angry at people for holding a different view to you. See? Who knows why people downvote videos like this, but you automatically assuming they are not of 'the West' and are just jealous is as closeminded as they are.
I think, for the most part, this video isn't disliked because of the outstanding performance by the Marine Corp, but by the woman who shot this video and her inability to shut up
Meathead, I'm a retired marine and what most people don't realize is that this isn't like being in a marching band. You have to be an outstanding marine just to be considered for this privilege.
What a HONOR it must be, to serve as an U.S. Marine..! You guys are simply amazing! Not only because of your drill-skills, but also your morale and your patriotism!!! I sincerely hope, that everyone of you guys will return safe back home, from wherever you serve now!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Greetings from Poland!
Absolutely breathtaking display of skill, precision, control and teamwork. All I could think about was the blood, sweat and tears that goes into producing that kind of display, and the total commitment to purpose that in turn signifies. Chills.
Really pisses me off to read all the negative posts about this awesome group of patriotic marines. These guys are pansies? Yea... Tell one to his face with no-one around and see how that works out for you. Semper Fidelis...
They aren't pansies so don't call them that you are showing disrepect because one day you might need one to help you in time of trouble.remember they can arrest you too like the police can so be careful want you say
Sandra Paul They do however deserve our respect. AND if you were to call them pansies to thair face, you will probably not want to do it the second time. :)
thank you for your service everyday I'm thankful for the US and Australian Army where I live and remind people if it wasn't for all the Armed forces we wouldn't have freedom
They really are like professional athleses... You see the final finished product that looks effortless, but you know theres thousands of hours of practice behind every since second. Awesome stuff.
I bet that the maintenance guys are praying that nobody drops their Springfield bayonet first onto that beautiful floor. These marines must represent the most skilled drill team in the world. I saw this team in Edinburgh during 1996 Festival and you could have heard a pin drop in the crowd during this routine.
Jack Walton and may our friends feel pride at the sound of our names, and our enemies quake in their boots at the sound of our triumphs, and may they always know that unconditional surrender is our motto, because we would rather die on our feet, than live on our knees, One of the quotes my dads instructor taught him, I think he made it himself, obviously mix of other quotes, didn't make sense for a long time until my brother went and joined the marines, then told me about his training and deployments
These Marines are all O3's. Meaning that they are all Infantry Marines. They have all gone through M.I.T. and M.C.T. (Marine Infantry Training and Marine Combat Training). Being stationed at Marine Barracks 8th & I is and honor and a privilege. These men are not glorified cheerleaders in any way shape or form. Check yourself idiot. They have done and are doing more than you could think of. Now get back to your video games and bong hits while these guys are protecting your ignorant ass!!! Semper Fi!!! @portaccio
Splendid Mendax how fucking disrespectful can you be. Without our armed forces, your dumbass wouldn't be able to sit here on TH-cam and complain. People like you just need to go somewhere else, America is too good to have belittling little snowflakes like you. Grow up, show some respect.
I'm 78, saw this by accident while searching for a piece of music. Had an uncle who was a marine in WW1, a brother-in-law a paratrooper in Korea and a son who was (is always) a marine. Had never seen such a drill. Was over the moon impressed It was just incredibly moving from beginning to end, even with the dreadful announcer. Too bad he couldn't at least manage to set the scene and educate the crowd a bit before the platoon entered. Many, many thanks to all who made this video possible.
I enlisted in the marines right out of high school 40 years ago and was stationed at Camp Pendleton with the first marine division seventh marine regiment Semper fi carry on fellow marines
I saw bleachers full of high school kids sitting in silent respect. Then you have these adults , there wasn't one second in the whole video where someone wasn't hollering .
thersten hmmm political beliefs during the half time show of a football game is the right place for that. I'm going to assume you would be offended if this drill was the halftime show. America has fallen so far because of unappreciated assholes. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸I thought I would throw up an offensive emoji for everyone.
0sum gamezzz It's called Silent Drill because there is no cadence/commands being called, that is it. There is no requirement for the crowd to be quiet.
That was so dope... Much Respect and Support for all the Honest Troops of America! I can only imagine the pressure that comes wit trying to execute the drill.
I love this drill! They are so disaplined! who else would be able to do a beautiful silent drill like that? Again very difficult very talented and very disaplined.
As a Navy guy who did drill team in both high school and college ROTC, these gentlemen set the standard for drill teams across America. To me, the most impressive thing about them is the silence. Every drill team I’ve been on required vocal commands, but these guys are so well trained and so in sync, that they can perform a difficult routine with near flawless precision with almost no commands. With the exception of the slaps and the rifle butts hitting the deck, the silence speaks volumes.
Don Kellough people are scared of weapons like they always have been. Either no experience with them or they see the terrible things that can be done with them. Pretty valid fear.
Obviously there have been those times but the Soviet Union, North Korea, Nazi Germany, imperialistic Japan? They had the full on direct attentions of focusing on civilians all the time. Imperialistic Japan is the worst of them all.
I was lucky to get to see this live in D.C. on a school trip. It was an awesome experience. If y'all get the chance to see this live, take advantage of it.
This is the type of precision they have on the battlefield, this is the reason we are the best, this is the reason we are the police of the world. Summed up with these marines in this wonderful demonstration. Replace the dress, rifles, and place with battlefield gear and access to land and air support. What you have is Gods right hand of justice and vengeance. HOORAH brothers...from an Air Force Vet
For anyone that hasn't ever seen the Silent Drill Team...these guys are awesome. Throwing bayoneted rifles back and forth takes some skill. I've seen them a few times. They are, without a doubt, awesome!
This should be the super bowl halftime show for the rest of time.
jake hanzvik .. 100%
not putting down the military this just isn't a super bowl performance kinda thing lmao
IronPAW Superbowl halftimes are more for pop culture, not this lol.
jake hanzvik why this is like dancing. . Easy
Yeah.... easy. If you're gonna troll at least make your trolling sound logical.
Those men are tremendous. This is about class and tradition. Something that is endangered in our society.
the1realanalogman you took the words right out of my mouth. American tradition in danger.
the1realanalogman ,,,,,, no its not endangered any more it's fuckin gone already

Michael Michael O' Sullivan from another Sullivan without the O .I agree and we are proud to have you as a Ally as well.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧

the most highly disciplined team ever, and one of the finest fighting forces in the entire WORLD. To be a MARINE requires self discipline and self respect, along with other traits, remember: THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE MARINES!
I saw the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team when I was at Camp Lejeune. It was a sight I will never forget. Awesome!
Shame on you 420 SCHMUCKS for Disliking it. My son is a Marine and that is a life of Honor, Dedication, and discipline. I'm going to say these guys have all those qualities to learn this routine.

Meathead, I'm a retired marine and what most people don't realize is that this isn't like being in a marching band. You have to be an outstanding marine just to be considered for this privilege.
Jack o What the hell are you saying? Nothing but disjointed thoughts and poor grammar.
as a former marine thats the finest thing ive seen in years
No such thing as a "former" Marine. You are, and always will be a Marine. Nobody can strip that title from you brother.
Thank you for your service
What a HONOR it must be, to serve as an U.S. Marine..! You guys are simply amazing! Not only because of your drill-skills, but also your morale and your patriotism!!! MY first Name
Yelp. REAL MEN, with a purpose in life!
They aren't pansies so don't call them that you are showing disrepect because one day you might need one to help you in time of trouble.remember they can arrest you too like the police can so be careful want you say
Sandra Paul
No they can't. Military are strictly forbidden to be used in the military sector, except for times like martial law.
Sandra Paul
They do however deserve our respect. AND if you were to call them pansies to thair face, you will probably not want to do it the second time. :)
Don't forget that the 8th & I Marines are infantry Marines. :)
In the navy I had a hell of a time doing an about face- never mind this. Amazing.
MrTwatwaffle007 I was taught this in middle school with no weapons though
We didn’t do it this good though
HOOAH.. I may be Army but we still brothers an Arms
"Brothers an arms"
thank you for your service everyday I'm thankful for the US and Australian Army where I live and remind people if it wasn't for all the Armed forces we wouldn't have freedom
"Colin Copperdick" Idk why I laughed so hard lol
Yeah nah that’s definitely a one sided view
E
And there's 1 woman talking through the whole thing
David Mitchell Sisters are Marines too.
Theres always a woman talking
Went to a Garth Brooks concert a while back and 2 women next to me were having a cluck fest almost through the whole thing. Why even go?!?
Frank: Agreed! I want to throat punch people who can't just stand there with their mouths shut, at the very least do that and face the flag!
Ron White calls it "s**tting in the street
Finally, some REAL heroes and TRUE champions on an nba court.
They really are like professional athleses... You see the final finished product that looks effortless, but you know theres thousands of hours of practice behind every since second. Awesome stuff.
This should be the SuperBowl half time show. Not some useless singer. Holy crap these guys are amazing.
These Marines are absolutely amazing
Being a Marine is the best state of mind ever. No matter how many deny it but the Corps teach you to NEVER GIVE UP...
too bad it wasnt silent.
matthew pahl videographer?
Jon Jones There was no instructor. Thats what makes it silent.
Spoken like a true poge. Dont hate just admire dickmouth.
I served in the Marines. These dudes are a different breed. I'm talking really bad ass m fr's. And they make those uniforms look good.
I bet that the maintenance guys are praying that nobody drops their Springfield bayonet first onto that beautiful floor.
These marines must represent the most skilled drill team in the world. I saw this team in Edinburgh during 1996 Festival and you could have heard a pin drop in the crowd during this routine.
miksal26 you seen the British guards tho?
May our country feel pride. May our enemies feel fear.
Yeah the North Koreans will shit themselves when a bunch of glorified cheerleaders come twirling towards them.
portaccio when the cheerleaders are trained to charge into battle and do what they must for their country no matter the cost, they will
Jack Walton and may our friends feel pride at the sound of our names, and our enemies quake in their boots at the sound of our triumphs, and may they always know that unconditional surrender is our motto, because we would rather die on our feet, than live on our knees, One of the quotes my dads instructor taught him, I think he made it himself, obviously mix of other quotes, didn't make sense for a long time until my brother went and joined the marines, then told me about his training and deployments

@@portaccio "glorified cheerleaders".......says the one that's most likely not in any branch of the military anywhere in the world
Ladies and Gentlemen, you've just witnessed some of the baddest motherfuckers that walk this earth. YOURE WELCOME!
we love these marines in england doing this drill.sheer perfection,
I wish our drill was this badass.
Same but my ROTC drill is Air Force
Lol your drill isn't the US Marines chief.
Alex Clark ROTC isn't the actual military. And what you learn in BCT and AIT isn't this complex.
Fort Jackson 2-60th BCT. just finished.
The fucking BEST!!! Godamn I miss and love my beloved Corps! Best years of my life. Ooooo fucking RAH!!!
Make me proud I was a Marine, just like my dad was in WW2.
" ONCE A MARINE.. ALWAYS A MARINE "
SEMPER FI
Thumper 1611 wow. Your good. I actually just fucked them both. You got gift.
hey derk, try it now, me and a couple of buddies just tore it up, so you might fit now.
Splendid Mendax how fucking disrespectful can you be. Without our armed forces, your dumbass wouldn't be able to sit here on TH-cam and complain. People like you just need to go somewhere else, America is too good to have belittling little snowflakes like you. Grow up, show some respect.

Just one?
1202_ProgramAlarm Exactly my thought, now I am worried for other marines not getting love from her.
I died at 5:38 and came back to life. Good job, USMC!
Killa Silverback Gorilla I died at 4:45
I enlisted in the marines right out of high school 40 years ago and was stationed at Camp Pendleton with the first marine division seventh marine regiment Semper fi carry on fellow marines
Perfectly Excuted!!!!! This reminds me of the beginning of a FEW GOOD MEN movie.
God Bless the Marine Corps
Love it when they do this drill. I didn't want them to stop at my son's Graduation in the Navy. So proud of our Military men and, women.
I think I saw these guys at the Edinburgh Tatoo, and the manoeuvres they did with their weapons were just breathtaking.
Much respect no words to describe how amazing this is and The amount of work it takes to get this good
that was one of the most awesome display I have ever seen.
I saw bleachers full of high school kids sitting in silent respect. Then you have these adults , there wasn't one second in the whole video where someone wasn't hollering .
Every halftime show should be comprised of this and not some pretentious singer spewing his or her political views.
JL yeah because public spewing of political beliefs in down right un-American
thersten hmmm political beliefs during the half time show of a football game is the right place for that. I'm going to assume you would be offended if this drill was the halftime show. Eh I'm pretty cool with Beyonce serenading me for 25 minutes.
When the Recruiter calls for back-up.
Outstanding are the marines, I am glad to be apart of them
Semper Fi Brother!!
I can’t even walk a straight line along the highway when the cops are watching me.
Major respect.
The announcer should have said everything before their routine. It's called the Silent Drill Platoon for a reason.
0sum gamezzz It's called Silent Drill because there is no cadence/commands being called, that is it. There is no requirement for the crowd to be quiet.
Read what I wrote. Report back if I mentioned the crowd.
0sum gamezzz I understand, but regardless, it goes for both.
Not in the Marine Corps I served in.
0sum gamezzz Sorry mate but that changes nothing.
This video gives me the CHILLS!!! GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES MARINES!!!! SEMPER FI!!!!!
Wow!
I always loved watching the Marines perform.
proud to be an American not an idiot who burns the American flag these gentlemen stand for the class and character of this country God bless them all
Like watching the gears of a Swiss watch
The drill team was wonderful. The people in the packed arena sure didn't sound stunned.
first time I saw something like this was in major pain . it blue my mind . years ago.
The World's Finest
Poetry in motion, I get chills just watching these guys
Holy shit they're in sync.
That was so dope... Much Respect and Support for all the Honest Troops of America! I can only imagine the pressure that comes wit trying to execute the drill.
It's sooo beautiful
This looks amazing! Greetings from a brother in arms 🇺🇸🇳🇱
dam that was NASTY!!!!!!!!
tim Forbrook,
"Nasty" is southern street slang for awesome
Henry, not all of us were Marines. Just take the compliment and move on.
I love this drill! They are so disaplined! who else would be able to do a beautiful silent drill like that? Again very difficult very talented and very disaplined.
Kevin Gray Japanse schoolboys and girls. its a thing there.
tim Forbrook He meant nasty as in badass

No cadence just discipline it's tremendous
fuck that must take a lot of practice can't imagine how many hours they put into that
8 to 12 daily. If they mess up during a show, they practice in front of a full-sized mirror for hours more.
I've watched this 100x's of time. And I still hold my breath expecting them to drop a rifle
Marins are the best. .... thanks.
Stunning and mesmerizing performance, you can't help but feel pride watching this.
These guys are great. Tossing eleven pound unbalace objects beteen themselves shows a great deal of practice young men need.
James Sandwitch Shutup and make me a sandwich.
James Sandwitch the '03 is very balanced
-Vance- Dun that's not a 1903 they use the m1 garand
TheGoober2100 Lol, I love how he tried to sound smart by knowing what an "03" is but was wrong.
James Sandwitch m1
When he did that behind the back pass I was all like my assisttttt
Wonder how many idiots were "scared" of the weapons?! Love those jar heads...
Don Kellough people are scared of weapons like they always have been. Either no experience with them or they see the terrible things that can be done with them. Pretty valid fear.
i wish i had enlisted right out of high school but now im dead because life took me down a different path
God bless our Marines and all service men and women of the US armed forces. God bless America!
Bob Gormley: But our intentions were never to kill innocents so that doesn’t really count.
Obviously there have been those times but the Soviet Union, North Korea, Nazi Germany, imperialistic Japan? They had the full on direct attentions of focusing on civilians all the time. Imperialistic Japan is the worst of them all.
What kind of men do you want? The few or the proud?
Marines: Yes
Awesome!
Love from the UK. Brilliance in its purest form.
I do honor guard at my afjrotc school and I just can't stop thinking about what would happen if one of those rifles dropped and hit the ground...
KrysTal Rapture Yeah after you put your ass back on because it was handed to you
I was lucky to get to see this live in D.C. on a school trip. It was an awesome experience. If y'all get the chance to see this live, take advantage of it.
efficiency, no applause needed, hoorah!
This is ultimately Awesome!!!! They must be practice really really hard for this. Respect from Indonesia!
Really cool
Ben Paka Nice profile picture.
Proud of each and every one of them!!!!
Much respect for these guys, saw them live back in high school.
GREAT job Marines!
💯for the amazing precision. Well done Marines. Oorah!
America's best this is why we're free, complete organization...and work as one well oiled machine

For anyone that hasn't ever seen the Silent Drill Team...these guys are awesome. Throwing bayoneted rifles back and forth takes some skill. I've seen them a few times. They are, without a doubt, awesome!
Amazing precision!!
That was cool as hell, I'm retired army but I've always loved D&C and the marines have some of the best routines I've seen.
IMPRESSIVE!
I am ex-army myself (Canadian) and I love these guys. I am glad they are my neighbours to the south.
Some serious dedication and practice went into this. Respect.
the best and old man followed through
A kaleidoscope of silent badassery. Oooorah! Semper fi brothers. \m/
Thanks marines!
very cool. two nephews who are Marines. My father was an MP in the Army, then also in the Marines after. Thank You all for your service!
I saw a movie where a Marine called himself a soldier and it triggered me. Marines never call themselves soldiers
Howdy Partner we are a cult
Yeah theres a radio advert where some guy is giving a testimonial ..."I'm an ex-Marine and I..." No youre not buddy! There are no ex-Marines!
To say "well oiled machine" just doesn't do this justice. Awe inspiring.
AWESOME!!
Awesome video well done. To all those that do serve thank you for all you do much respect and God bless from Canada!
I'm shook!
