    Sometimes I get scared or anxious and feel like you're going to fall down/ stumble or bump into the sides of the buildings you're walking next to at times. Or maybe that's just me. Lol. Anyway, I love this video and appreciate all you do to help me relieve and relax my mind at night with these videos of snow ❄️ and rain 🌧️. Thanks a bunch

    This snow is kids' stuff. When I lived there 1963-1970 the snow between the sidewalks and the streets was piled 4 to 5 feet high much of the winters. Fun video to watch, anyway.

    This makes me think of the H.C. Andersen’s Snow Queen’ s frigid lands, beautiful but frozen. Obviously, no one is outside unless they have to. This looks much better than other videos about the dreadful winters of that part of Earth but still the harshness is very noticeable. I do like the apparent feeling of space.

    • @MyWalkAround
      @MyWalkAround  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching :) I don't find the snow so harsh it can be quiet beautiful actually. And yes, there's definitely wide open spaces in the winter lol

    Lived in Toronto’s downtown for 40 years. All these familiar locations done in such a simple fashion. Wonderful!
    One question: I’m curious, what camera do you use? Stabilized like it’s in a gimbal but seems to be hidden as passers by don’t pay any attention to it.
    Great series

    • @MyWalkAround
      @MyWalkAround  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Douglas, whereabouts? I use an osmo pocket. People are so busy listening to their podcast or iphone music or in such a rush that they often times don't take notice of things around them

    • @douglasbrown1950
      @douglasbrown1950 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MyWalkAround
      I wondered if it was the Osmo Pocket. From the camera angle it looks like it's attached in some fashion either to clothing or a bag.
      Lived in The Beaches. Was a commercial photographer first, then a photojournalist for about 20 years, and lastly was Tourism Toronto's contract photographer for 7 years.
      Saw all the wonderful energy and creativity of the city every day for years.
      I miss Toronto. Housing costs drove me out.

  • @NeonsStyleHD

    The interesting thing about these in the storm, is the way to skyscapers appear as monoliths in the background of the city. Not just in visual terms, but in terms of the power they wield. Living in a hot environment, where we never see weather like this, and listening to a sci fi audio book, seems surreal, even alien. Especially the way there are electronic billboards everywhere. Those are banned here in Australia.

    • @MyWalkAround
      @MyWalkAround  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment NeonsStyle! Electronic billboards are banned there? No way, why is that?

    Triste ironia do destino. Aqui na minha cidade no Brasil a temperatura varia entre 38 a 42 graus positivos. Muito calor, difícil até para respirar. Aí temperatura de 40 graus negativos. Sinceridade, adoraria viver num país assim, adoro o frio.
