RIP Randall. This is my tape I recorded it in 89 - Randall 3 Amigos Centreforce. It one of my favorite tapes 🙏 listen to the tracks, a lot of breakbeat based stuff, notice how he keeps calling the music Jungle. This is i989. before the term Jungle had been coined. Legend 🙏
Blimey this is a find 😎 I was 13 in 1989 - already listening to pirate radio most nights (my parents bought me an FM radio to 'listen to the football' - that didn't last long) 😂 So Randall would have been 19 when this was broadcast. WOW. Randall played at the first rave I went to in 93 - Orange at Camden Palace. Life changing shit. Fast forward 31 years and I last saw him at Bailey's Intabeats night on a Tuesday. There were about 50 people there but he was having a great time. That says everything about the man. Daddy Randall. The DJ's DJ. No boy test ❤❤💫❤❤
@jmason5013 the missing out is worse, there's nothing nowadays like the oldskool music and vibe. Even when they recreate it it's just not gonna be the same as back then
@@londonsounds6212 Very true.....if you go to a rave today it is NEVER like the original vibe there was nothing more exciting than ringing the number FROM A PHONEBOX that was on the back of your ticket for the rave to finally be given a service station to go to once you got to the service station and there were enough people we would all jump in our cars and the runner would take us all to a warehouse on an industrial site and that warehouse was full of the most amazing people having the time of our lives ........and all while the police were running around outside not knowing what the fuck to do and you could also end up gtting your picture in the paper on the monday when The Sun wrote a bullshit article about this sinister new music cult.....lol great times
Glad you noticed that. This is my tape, I recorded it and thats the one thing that's always stuck me about it. he was calling it jungle in 89 before the term jungle had been coined. RIP Randall
“keeping with the jungle music” “the rugged beats and the jungle” Yes! Found this a while back. Blew my mind. As soon as UK producers starting making house/techno they clearly wanted breaks, helped by hip-house, and bass from sound system culture, and off we go... not seen on a flyer until 91 though. Fitting Randall seems to be first recorded. He used to call this show ‘the Jungle’ also apparently.

Do you have anymore by him?
@LondonSoundSystem don't think so, mate. I got other pirate tapes. That was one of my favourite one, though. 🙏

Massive comment! Big up yourself!❤
Nice :) I was listening to an old AWOL set with GQ last night - he said to Randall, "inflate your chest'
We need to bring this phrase back 😎
Yeah i like that one! Inflate your chest!!! @bluejackmedia
Loved it when Randall did guest slots at Camden Palace, always tore the place to pieces! Absolute legend at 🍊 orange!
We are all getting older unfortunatly........so lucky to have been there in 89
@jmason5013 I wasn't born yet but love the music and vibes!
@@londonsounds6212 on the one hand you are lucky to be so young.....and on the other hand you did miss out on some amazing times

Randall you have played your last tune!!!, but your legacy lives on, R.i.p to an absolute legend!!!
This is amazing. I didnt think the term jungle was used until '91? '92
I think this might have been the first time it was called jungle! Some people cite Randall as the first to call it that!

@@Radiokillaz So ahead of his time! This is seasick btw, thank you both for the recording and upload
