As someone that owns a Tenet70 all I have to say is that all the ribbon cables should have been 1cm longer MY GOD. It made building it go from "Oh this is fun" to "PLEASE GOD WHY WON'T YOU LET THIS HELL END" really quick
i thought i was gonna rip the cable everytime it slipped out i never wanted to cry so much building a keyboard
@@KoiChev Same bro same. It took 15 minutes and 2 sets of hands to get the screen ribbon cable to stay seated. I was like "finally I can relax" only to realize I put in the screen ribbon cable upside down and I had to go though the fire and the flames for a second time. 🤣
And don't get me started on the ribbon cable that connects the PCB's together. Tolerances so tight that I thought I was going to rip the connector from the PCB whenever I was ramming the cable in there.
i fucking hate the tennet 70... with a burning passion LMAO i sold the board the first moment i had it and i regretted nothing
@@TofuTypes Love the board personally but why on earth did Metakey design a board that encourages swapping layouts while making the build process worse that a kick to the teeth 🤣
your guess is as good as mine LMAOOOO@@chuchupow
Thank you Tofu I was struggling to pick between the red, white, or navy and this helped settle on the navy
uhhh the unit i have is black haha
oh that's crazy the grade here made me think it was blue 0:30 oh well I'm still happy with my decision lol
I always watch in anticipation of the inevitable violent grab. I was not disappointed.
i gotchu ;)
Really looking forward to the Alice board... already got the 65 and it was indeed a totally easy build experience even though I actually didn't use the TX stabs but QK's Owlstabs. I might go back and rebuild it with the TX stabs so I can try the O-ring mounting
Neo is doing the Alice for sure, I'm also waiting and hoping it'll be my first Alice
Seems like they’ve improved the gummy o ring mounting on this from the Neo65, hope they’ll move forward to do a Neo60 with a gummy o ring as well, I feel like it could be a new / slightly more premium feeling bakeneko for a lot of folks, which would be sick!
I’d sell my bakeneko immediately if they did a Neo60
@@Swami-Switches I'd bet they'll get to it eventually!
true true, legit if they just split this board down the nav cluster.... banger LOL
@@TofuTypeshaha right?? they’ve already done the bulk of the work!!
FLOATING KEEB SHOT OKAY
YESSIIRR BAY WINDOWS
wowww so attractive....
neo70 is nice too, with that price point
oh why thank you Mr. Good Looking
love my Neo65's
duuude I cant wait to get mine! What are your specs?
same
I'm now in the GB for the Cycle7, Neo65, QK75n, and Neo70 after I told myself I should stop buying more keyboards.
lol you just cant stop XD!
no don't stop LMAO
Do you any thoughts on the comparison between Cycle 7 and Neo70?
Ordered one for my sister (her first ever hobby keeb) and one for myself to build together if it gets to us before I move to Japan (staying in Seoul at the moment). I'm very excited for the board and looking forward to using it as my switch testing board (I got POM and CF plates, so I have thock and clack covered). I did notice the gummy mount seemed to have a "thud" sound during your CF plate test. Thoughts?
If you have time, Tofu, how lightweight/portable is it in the case? I'm strongly considering bringing the Neo70 around with me in my backpack on a regular basis if it's not super bulky as a nice little work keeb with POM plate and silent Alpacas.
the thud is probably my mic honestly. as far as portability goes it's... decently light? you can prob stuff it in your bag without too much of a hassle but it will definitely take up some real estate
Neo70 is much lighter than most boards given that is uni-body case, so it'll be more portable
How are the neo stabs?
actually pretty decent, not much to complain about
i-is that an eames lounge chair????
yes, yes that is
Neo 70 vs Cycle 7?
neo has stronger acoustics and ease of building, cycle has imo a more comfortable typing experience and i like the aesthetics more
that space bar with mx browns was weird sounding ngl.
mic
could be the mic with no eq and in a sound treated room (there's no reverb) so certain builds will sound different or weird than others :/ maybe why i like clackier builds in this room
still malding that they made 70 and alice before 60
i guess soon? maybe LOL
You know what would be just perfect with this board due to the 2 boards and magnetic connector?
A FREAKING 60% CASE. LITERALLY 0 MORE WORK OTHER THAN DESIGNING A NEW CASE. A SIMPLE DRAG AND DROP WITH THE EXISTING PCB
2 seperate boards*
LOL you're not wrong at all haha
I said the same thing on their discord. Still they are not planning to make a 60 anytime soon but an 80 instead lol
@@lone0017 i said it on their discord as well as soon as the neo70 got leaked with the mounting system
@@KcCake seems like there are too few of us 60 users
WE HATE RIBBON CABLES
Also I miss that Eames lounge chair
come through anytime :3@@staceysmash
