Context: Last season, your son, Danny, appeared to skip town. While you were searching for him, you were taken hostage by Aldo Mitzrati, a rather charming mobster, who revealed that your son had stolen from him. Worse, that he worked for him. Yet, you and Aldo hit it off, agreeing to a date and, well, the rest is history. You thought you’d put the past behind you. Buried it with your abusive ex-husband. But, tonight, another ghost from your past has resurfaced… and he’s your father.
Part 2 is here! Sorry for the delay, I've let myself get kinda busy with the American holiday season starting to go full swing. Here we get to wake up next to a snoring Aldo, go over to comfort a sniffling (totally not crying) Danny, and manage to hug a needy Julian. This is definitely a Danny episode, as he needs a bit of extra TLC himself this time around.

There's an Aldo's food distribution not too far from where I grew up; I get a dumb grin on my face EVERY time I see one of their trucks because it reminds me of THIS series. From THIS channel. As always, outstanding work. Danny being vulnerable and sweet but getting back to his loudmouth self because he picks up on Jules being awake is insanely endearing. You capture the different tones so well, the full scope of everyone's emotions.
What a nice, slice of life feelgood episode of the series. Absolutely no tension or drama will occur in Part 3 whatsoever. 😂
"let myself get kinda busy" sounds an awful lot like "I developed a baldur's gate addiction" (unless you actually have self control, unlike [me] everyone [me] else [me] I [me] know [still me]).
Haven't read it all the way through yet, but part 3's character cast is already kinda interesting 👀
Uh, I've been having a, how do I put it, tumultuous relationship with that game in particular? I keep forgetting that I don't like d20 combat systems and finding out the hard way, but I keep going back because I want to enjoy the story 😭 I had the unfortunate experience of playing ye olde SW:KOTOR back as a child who didn't understand how the d20 stuff worked, and even to this day, I can't beat that damn game to save my life 😅 If the combat was more Mass Effect-esque, I'd still have been working on Royal Outlaws at this point

I didn't buy BG3 until almost 3 months after the official release because I thought it was going to be like Disco Elysium (which I just can't get into whatsoever even though the concept is neat). But the story in BG3 kept me going. Combat can get really iffy, especially when there's a lot of npcs. It can 5-10 minutes for it to be your turn again. 💀SW:Kotor lolol your old is showing 😂 (tbh I think I was playing Blinx or Jet Set Radio Future in that era 😌).
@@LaonOfTheValley Yeah, I've been learning the hard way that the game is not shy about making you deal with an unfortunately high number of NPCs if you decide to stick to your guns. Like, I get giving players the choice to literally fight everyone in the room with a complete lack of subtlety, but man, I wish I didn't have to constantly backtrack to figure out why I got stuck fighting every duregar in the forge 😫
I would’ve loved this series more if listener had said her father was lying when they first met after a long time like when they came to the docks and she convinced the boys to hate him just as much as her if not even more if possible about the fact he was teaming up with Danny’s father to keep him away from listener to keep him as a reflection of his own glory with his father like it just sounds more dramatic that way and I actually like it like I hate drama but I like that one
