The problem with Kant and other "crazy Germans" is that they enjoy expressing themselves in a very complicated way (Hegel is even worse). I understand that it is always not possible to be simple and straightforward. But often it is. Maybe it is forbidden in Germany to get straight to the point? My theory is that it is possible to explain Kant in a much easier way. Your videos prove my point. Thank you. You have helped me a lot.
Agreed. Also to give them some slack they originally wrote in a very different form of German translated into old English which itself is harder to understand.
Language translation issues aside, remember these Germans were exploring topics using familiar and unfamiliar words. Sometimes they have to exclude or include common meanings. Without such clarity, everything becomes dense and opaque and gibberish like much of eastern philosophies that require a teacher to explain everything.
