    I love this workout. I'm so weak and out of shape that i get a side stitch when i do this routine. Trying to build up, hydrate, and breathe when i feel the side stitch.
    I took belly dancing classes when i was in 3rd & 4th grade, but i stopped afterwards. Wish i couldve continued on as i love belly dancing. It also reminds me of my grandmother. She was Palestinian. Grateful for these videos. Thank you, Leilah!

    Leilah, I am so, so happy I discovered you on PopSugar Fitness. For years, I wanted to learn belly dancing (this was before TH-cam, mind you) and over the years I forgot that dream. Now I can learn from you and get fit at the same time! You are an excellent teacher and do very well breaking the moves down so they're understandable! Thank you, thank you! 😘

    i'm so excited i keep finding new videos of you (well new to me). this is yet another amazing way to shed weight and tone your body and surprise a few people. and like you say, "all you need to do is rewind and practice" and i get better everytime. so much fun.

    Hi Leilah! Love your videos, especially as a beginner they're great to be able to do at my own pace or as fast as you do. Whenever I do the twist shimmies I get a pain under my left chest, a little above the diaphragm. Is that just a normal thing as my body gets used to belly dancing? Thank you so much for continually posting such lovely videos!!

      Hey! Thanks for the message. There is a difference between good pain and bad pain. Good pain is muscles pain ( such as when you do crunches) bad pain is bad. If it's bad pain then avoid the movement as I don't want you to hurt yourself. For now you can do a shinny instead.     So, this is the 7th bellydancing workout I've tried in the last week and a half or so and I had to stop halfway through to catch my breath because this was WAYYYY more intense than what I was expecting!! Hahahaha!! It was great though and I felt really accomplished to make it through the end! I had no idea some of these moves and combined would have this kind of impact! I love the video! Thankyou! :)

      Hey Sttella! At the moment I have just workouts coming out but I will put this in my notes for sure! It can be difficult but its bes to take it very slow at first with the twist. The twist will show more with practice so its okay if it looks small at first. 😊
