Hey Patricia! So pleased you enjoyed the video!! Have fun with it! There is a Banjo Uke playlist on the channel if you like this style of playing/songs. Thanks again! Kelly

Hey Albert! Excellent! Glad to have you aboard! Check out our new Facebook chat group too if you like. It's called The Four String Strummers. Lots of really nice positive folks on there. Thanks! Kelly

Love the new strum to add to my selection. Your channel name is so perfect for your videos because you do the best job of carefully explaining and demonstrating various STRUMMING techniques. That is so helpful to me. I can mostly read a chord chart and practice a chord on my own. But actually figuring out how to strum in a way that makes the chord musical is more challenging. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I enjoyed this selection, and was pleasantly surprised that it sounds very nice on the ukulele as well as the banjolele. Have a great week.

Curious how you got to be such a good teacher. I agree with the comments here that you are so good at breaking it down for us. I used to think I would never be able to play music like this ! And I think I need to buy a banjolel now !!

Hey Bonnie - you're going to give me a big head! Thanks for the words of encouragement!! I'm really pleased that you are enjoying and getting something out of these videos. It really makes it all worthwhile for me when I hear that! Much appreciated - Kelly

Btw Sorry about the late reply on this one Bonnie - for some reason your comment was sitting in a "waiting for review" file...(I didn't even know that was a thing) Kelly

Really was great fun to listen to and play. I just have to pick up the speed bit by bit. A really huge thank you, Kelly. P.S. I like your banjolele. It's exactly the one I just bought.

Hey Mike! Glad you liked the video! I picked this one up last year. I wanted to try the tenor size - I'm happy with it - they are a lot of fun to play! Kelly

I practice every night before I go to bed. Recently I went on vacation for a week and couldn't bring my banjolele with me. I missed practicing, like I literally felt sad, because I couldn't practice. As soon as I got back home, boom, back to practicing.
I find practicing the ukulele relaxing and I sleep better at night. It's habit forming, but in a good way.😂

Hey Angela - that sounds like a great way to wind down at the end of the day. Nice to be back home with your banjolele! We just had a member of our Facebook group (The Four String Strummers) tell us he had to leave on a road trip unexpectedly due to a family emergency - realized he didn't have a uke with him so he pulled into a music store and bought one to see him through!! A good addiction for sure! Kelly

I was on a 7 day cruise with friends. I saw a Waterman uke in an overpriced gift shop at one of our ports of call. I came sooo close to buying it. But I didn't.
Maybe I will get something second hand that I wouldn't mind traveling with.

@@TheBlueRoan316 that's a good way to go actually. One that makes a good travel uke (and isn't very pricey) is the Enya Nova U. I've had a couple. I bought a concert scale one to take with me on my boat. Limited room and the possibility of it getting wet made the slimline composite body a good choice. They sound decent too. They are also available in soprano if you want to go even smaller - I prefer the concert scale but the sopranos also sound good and are even less money. Pretty good quality.

I must be doing something wrong because I keep slamming the side of my index finger into the neck and when I play by the bridge i keep hooking my index finger in the bottom string (the one by my leg) and my thumb keeps hitting the highest string (the one by my chest)
