ASpec has reached that point in his life where he only desires a small shed to store whatever he wants inside it and to hide away from the world inside it.
Let’s be real here, you can’t have a story about the Man-Emperor without some kind of civil war. Probably led by some dude named after some old earth deity.
So, when will this totally uninspired by anything Emperor have his 20 sons ready? Also, when will his most trusted son entomb him on unrelated golden throne?
20 sons? No, I think 18 will be enough, sons 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. Sons 2 and 11 would just be such disappointments we would have to remove all mention of them from history
Aspec must be turning into a father within the next few years, or at the least found a good lady to settle down with, cause only a man with such events popping up in life would invest money into a shed and I respect the hell out of that
I love the shed approach. I am actually interested to see how the new shed will be. I relate to this as I also have a coldwar era shed that barely stands.
You finding Sol and Earth while doing a Big E playtrough just makes me laugh and think of Horus Rising where Horus stumbles across 63-19 and the idea that Holy Terra isnt actually Earth.
5:32 My theory is that somehow, whether through internal or external means, a group of humans were transported to The Shed from Earth, likely from a fallen empire of extinct civilisation from thousands of years before.
My paragons run has resulted in an old army general becoming chairman of my mega corp and therefore making my planet armies almost unbeatable. Its so nice being able to repel an invasion without even trying. I like to imagine a marine kissing a pendent of her chairmen before launching a ogi-nollox clone through a wall with her mind.
Ironically, you actually get more of a Golden God outcome if you stick to the status quo as a dictator... *SPOILER* After a number of decades of ruling, your "dictator" becomes ill/is almost killed and you have to spend like three decades searching for a cure. You can ultimately choose to put him in a Golden Throne at the cost of 10 of each rare resource a month, but his lifespan gets like +800 years.
it's weird to think I came to this channel years ago to watch Alpha Centauri, and now i'm here years later watching him make a legally-distinct god emperor that exists in a wood shed.
Aspec: I humbly suggest that you create a video for the new co-op feature. I recommend 3-4 players. The core sector (starting + guaranteed worlds) will be shared, and then the players will each get their own sector. Then you can bicker about development and the acquistion / expansion / development of sectors! It sounds interesting! (Alternatively, you can have a shared capital and divide the guaranteed worlds)
A lot of the quality of life changes in this DLC/Patch seem to be acknowledgements of the fact that the UX isn't great. Whether it is Armies, or the Automation we get with Science Ships or even this new Science setup. It feels like, "Look, all this busywork isn't fun, so even if we lose a little flavor or optimization by changing it to a different, easier to use system, we can add to that quality of life and also make up that flavor in some other way." I find that refreshingly honest and positive. Lean into your strengths and sand off the sharp edges, so long as you keep the flavor.
"I can transform this barren Planet into a green Gaia Utopia! Aspec: "Oh wow, not let's plaster everything over with concrete and turn it into one big hellscape of a city!"
Tried this origin last night. I like the +1 leader limit and the 40-year situation. There are a few mods already to just increase the base leader limit, but I'm wondering if there's a way to up it except through that one tradition? Thanks for the video.
i'm a little sad the origin has no interaction with acensions (well synthetic at the least) I synth ascended my race after the golden throne project succeeded and not a mention of the that, the blood 3x10 upkeep on strategic resources is also still there :( but atleast i can confidently say the leader change is a massive buff for synths all my councilors are lvl 10 and those boni are not okay :D
seems to be a mixed feeling for this DLC on steam and the forums. lots of issues of resolution and graphics with this update. i'm gonna wait a few weeks before i boot up my game to see how things go. DLC doesn't have a good score.
Oddly enough the negative reviews I have seen on Steam appear to be limited to a resolution bug; one which, at least in my experience, existed in the game before this patch and DLC. So the DLC content itself seems to be well received. Perhaps it could be a bit cheaper but its what we've come to expect from a Paradox game - it certainly doesn't help that we've just had a DLC for this game within the last few months.
I just tell myself don't look for steam reviews for dlc anymore. The only reasonable complaint I see is about price, everything else for every DLC for Stellaris is about how they don't like the patch that comes with it, about ancient irrelevant bugs and other shit that doesn't have real representation in DLC.😊
