If you have a directional pattern, do not cut with a folded bottom, one of your sides will end up upside down. Instead, cut two separate pieces but add a seam allowance at the bottom to sew together. 2. Use a stiff interfacing. Your bag will sit better😉 3. I had to watch another tutorial on how to attach the slide buckle. It’s really easy but this video made it look way harder.

I made this out of a very nice, brown, streaked waxed canvas that I found for $2 yd. at the Los Angeles garment district! It came out very pretty. I lined the inside with a contrasting lined fabric. It looks casual, but expensive! Very nice, simple, easy to make pattern. It’s a keeper pattern. Thank you.
Oh my goodness, I love this bag, I believe the material prints make it special, I am going to try this, since the pandemic started and I was bored I recently started sewing at the ripe old age of 68, using old jeans to make small shoulder bags, none of them are perfect so I call them Milly’s imperfections. I dont sell them I give them away to grand kids and family friends. But this one I will keep for myself. I can only dream that one day I can make a bag as beautiful and perfect as yours. Thank you so much for sharing your work. I am really inspired and excited to try something new. Keep them coming, I will be waiting. Thanks

Thank you so much! I'm a beginner and I was able to follow along and create my own little bag! I didn't have enough fabric for straps, but I had a spare crossbody strap that matched my fabric so I used that instead and it is SO cute. I'll be making more of these (and will have to still follow along with your video when I do). :)

Hi, what is the seam allowance, half inch or quarter inch ? Besides you have measured on the top 1.25 inch, is it from 5.5 point or from the edge of the paper. Kindly reply . I was making the pattern on the paper and these questions came to my mind
Making my third bag, but did I miss something? It says to put all fabric and interfacing on fold. My first bag I did that and the one side of bag is upsidedown.. After I reviewed video again I see that you actually stitched together outer fabric pieces. Bags are lovely .
You mean one side of the bag print is facing downward and the other side is upward, if you want the print right way up on both side, you need to cut 2 pieces plus seam allowance (before cut make sure the fabric print right way up ) then sew it together, otherwise you just cut in on fold.
