That was fantastic! I took a summer workshop course at York University in Toronto and Lorne was one of the instructors…wonderful teacher and amazing guitarist. It was great seeing the two of you play Nigel. Wonderful performance!
Nice balance of interesting conversation and superb jamming. Bought the ‘Pure Desmond’ album about a month ago, and now it seems every other jazz conversation I hear mentions the great Ed Bickert, who - to my shame - I’d previously never heard of. Keep up the good work Nigel. Looking forward to seeing and hearing the next instalment.
Thbak you, John! There are four up here. There is some content in five and six that has appeared in Guitar Techniques magazine, so it’ll be a few weeks before I release them. If you can’t wait, then they are available on my Patreon site: www.patreon.com/Nigethejazzer
Amazing! Thank you Nigel and Lorne! Wonderful playing and interesting interview! I see that you both play on Session amps. May I ask you which model they are? All the best!
This just landed in my feed, yes please! Thanks! I've smashed all the smashers!
Salutations from astonishingly cold & dark Ireland! ☘☮🤘🏽🤠👍🏽☮☘
Thanks, Sonny. Hey, I have a Kenny Wheeler album with your dad on it. Great stuff!
What a gem! This randomly popped up and I'm so glad it did 😊
Lorne is a treasure and a true master. I’ve had a chance to meet him a few times and I’m impressed by his continued enthusiasm and passion.
Wow, more more more of this kind of content please Nigel. Wonderful
