Dream Genie- Lightning Bolt Congrats to RobGHH for beating me to this FC, and for also motivating to get it. Still got first place though ;) / robghh 28/65
Oh look. They took the very thing that made Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting such a challenging song and gave us a 7-minute song of nothing but that.
+julien tremblay Both have a very annoying guitar riff with excessive amounts of HOPO's to strums that covers more than 70% of the song. The music is quite different but when it comes to guitar play, they remind me alike
This song is deceptively tough. But for those watching, if this song were ever on a future guitar hero game, which characters will you assemble for a band to play this monster of a song.
Do you use hammer-ons and pull-offs during the strumming part after the first solo? I'm trying to figure out a consistent way to hit that damn part lol
Did you have to use different calibration numbers in RB4 or did your numbers from RB3 work well? If not, how much did you have to add/withdraw? Id like to be a bit prepared and have some numbers to refer to while I'm waiting for my RB4 copy arrive :)
+sLaYaHz My numbers are huge compared to RB3. I use 95 audio and 114 video. I tried calibrating once, got those numbers, and they have worked perfectly all throughout, so I'm keeping them. For reference, I am using an Asus VG248QE, a 144hz 1ms response time monitor. For RB3 I use something like 15 audio, 35 video.
+guitarheroROXS I wonder how bad it would be on CRT considering everyone have to use like 100 more than on RB3 which imply almost 100ms of base lag lol
+AbyssionQC Well since you can't natively run X1 or PS4 on CRT, any converter you use will cause a bit of lag. RevengeofParzrevenge uses a CRT with his PS4, and he just posted a rant on how bad RB4 is, in which he touched on calbiration. He still has issues.
+guitarheroROXS Fortunately I have a specific 40" Sony Bravia model that has among the lowest input lag ever according to the biggest calibration/lag forums and sites, and well I can confirm it myself. But the thing is that RB3 actually have some built-in lag so even if you have a almost lag free TV you will still suffer from video lag. Im using V: 30 in RB3 and since the TV have around 5ms INPUT LAG (response time and input lag is totally different things) id say that RB3 have around 20-25ms built-in lag on Xbox. But everyone is different, some people tend to hit notes extremely early and doesnt even experience any lag while I hit/read the notes almost spot-on. Anyway Im glad i bought this tv, calibration has worked like a charm, in GH (any game except GH3 and GH2) its very close to perfect on 0ms and GH3 around 10ms. So remember anyone who read this: if it says 1ms on your monitor, its response time NOT input lag. The lowest you can find as of now is probably 8ms input lag
The way the 4/4 time fits and makes and progress through the song and on the guitar solos it goes to a 3/4 it's just so good
One of the few that loves this song.
I've seen this band live, and I own Fantasy Empire on vinyl. Friggin phenomenal job also 👏

Holy hell you did it! Congrats! You're on your way to getting a FGFC :3
Ladies and Gentlemen, I Present to you Rock Band 4's version of Llama by phish.
llama is easier than this
llama does not even compare...
Reminds me more of Bleed By Meshuggah but that is RBN
+William Haun nothing like meshuggah AT ALL!!!!!

i cant even complete this lol
This song actually sounds awesome and epic
This is the only devil head song i cant 5* and get at least 95% on
This song is deceptively tough. But for those watching, if this song were ever on a future guitar hero game, which characters will you assemble for a band to play this monster of a song.
Only devils song I have passed less than 5% of the time. And when I pass, I get 81-82%.
that song fucked up my stats, lol. I was only NARROWLY able to get gold stars and thats as far as I'm getting with that song.
@@fatcontroller12 ahah. I typically got 3-4* until I figured out the very dirty, imprecise way to get through it.
@@aftertheelectrike1847 I wound up getting 98% on that song for drums, which way was that you used?

yes I do. I also anchor the bottom note for every one and alt-strum all the way through, starting on a downstrum. hope this helps.
+guitarheroROXS what do you mean anchor the note
brawlpro holds down the lower note while hitting the higher notes

Ouch, hopefully it's fine on 1ms monitors

how'd you hit all the grace parts?
Talent
You know you're doing good when you hit 5 stars less than halfway into the song lol
Nice, This chart is funny to watch
Lightning Bolt doesn’t have a guitarist. So I have no clue what those solos are actually supposed to be. Heavily distorted bass?
Yea
Which is the hard part?
In the running for most annoying, cacophonous and unfun song in RB/GH history
This song would be much better if it was shorter; it just drags on way too long
like you could cut out 2:23 to 4:01 and it would be much better since that's basically the section after the intro played a second time in a row
I fucking suck at this peice of shit.
This song on Pro Drums X, is a Son of a Bitch
