Thillanas are compositions with structure pallavi, anupallavi & charanam. In pallavi & anupallavi you will see rhythmic patterns/sounds , only charanam has text with meaning. Dr. M Balamuralikrishna garu popularized the tillanas. In general meaning is intimate or devotional in nature.
