Girl I love this method! Also your sonic addiction is how I've been feeling about jersey Mike's lately. "I didn't need it but I couldn't leave it there so I had to buy it" this is such a bad habit of mine too!
Great video. I had to stop my Sonic habit b/c it added up so fast. I only got a drink also. I agree w/ the bed skirt. Y’all need to find something else besides going in stores to get out of the house no judgment I’m speaking from experience 😊. The summer is so hard b/c it’s too hot for walking outside or going to a park. Thank you for sharing it helps me stay accountable
It's painful, but this process will help so much. It wasn't until I saw how much I was spending on cigarettes that I was finally willing to quit, for example. You're doing the hard work of making yourself even better! Cheers!
I am/was a spender. but I started looking for free things to do instead of spending for things I didn't need. Some of those things were the library, the park. Since cutting out my retail therapy. I have managed to save a bit of money and realized I forgot about the item I wanted but didn't need.
Have you ever tried weekly spending freezes. If you have a daily spending habit it helps so much. I will get everything I need on my grocery haul and make my iced coffees at home and find free activities to do or fun arts and crafts I have have home. You could definitely pocket a lot more money. I appreciate you being so real about your finances ❤.
I agree with not doing a cash budgeting system it’s pointless…. I just track my expenses.. the more cash I saw the more I spent.. envelopes don’t work for me..
You make it much prettier than I do but I do something similar once a week. It makes it so glaringly clear where my money goes and it shakes me every time!
It all goes back to baby steps. Swiping is waaayyy too easy, and even though we might have a running total going in our head, it’s never the ‘actual’ amount. It was easy for me to make excuses as to why I should buy something, then swipe. Oh, and this goes with that…swipe again. I’ve always been a spender, my ex-husband was a way worse spender, hence the ‘ex’. My mother cash stuffed back in the 70’s, something that went by the wayside with the invention of ATM machines and card swipe machines in the 80’s. I just discovered cash stuffing channels such as yours on YT in February, thought I’d try it. It is amazing how using cash can restructure the brain and put the brakes on the impulse buying. I’m now saving to pay for things in cash that I never thought I would. I realize your bank branch closed and it’s hard to get cash. But is there a different bank near you? As annoying as it would be to change banks, it might get you on track again. I love the expense tracker, just started using something similar, it’s a great reality check.
cut yourself some slack, girlie!!! i know the end numbers in spending are hard to look at sometimes but you're holding yourself accountable AND reviewing what you've spent and not just letting it fly! you won't always be redecorating your room either. i'm sure you're inspiring someone out there to check their finances for sure 🫶🏼
Just keeping track of my purchases wasn’t enough for me. I’m going to try cash stuffing. It’s easy for me to swipe a card or press a button on my phone but I especially hate breaking big dollar bills so I’m going to see if I spend less with cash. We all have our different psychological tricks.
I am the same. What helped me was taking all the apps off my phone or at least taking the card info so I have to actually type the numbers in. It makes it not so convenient to spend
So you would like to know how my budgeting is going? One word, sucky. It has not been an easy job trying to budget this spring. I'm hoping summer is better.❤

Maybe when you have a free time you can show us all the different equipment you use.
Where did you get your markers from that you used ?
Is there a place I can buy the expense tracker?
I want to do this but feel so scared 😂
It is literally terrifying 🥲
