Here is the Installation of Apple Car Play into my Honda accord 2017 sport
Purchased for 377 after tax on ali express
Came in 5 days after ordering!
If you have any questions of the installation, let me know. I notice I left out the adapter cables out of the video but it’s pretty much self explanatory. On the link I provided, there’s a installation video of how the wires are connected in the description (PLEASE WATCH THAT BEFORE INSTALL). Because I remember one wire connects from the after market unit, back into the after market unit again on the bottom (It might be the green wire not sure).
Overall it was simply plug and play and only took me an hour for the install!

It’s plug in play! For plug instructions, there’s a video on how to plug in the adapters in the website of AliExpress in product description that I used for reference before I installed it.

Update as of today- still working good. Carplay connects pretty fast when I start the car and I have no issues for it so far. As of mirror your phone, it works but haven't used it much. Sometimes when mirroring initially, it kicks me out after 1 minute. But after re-pairing it again, it works flawlessly.Just tedious to do that every time I try to connect but its okay since I rarely used the function. I just wished I was able to stream movies such as netflix and stuff haha. But youtube works

Great video, though a review of the product would be even better... Wondering how it is to navigate, enter destinations, and such. Gotta make sure its worth the $$
Navigation is pretty good. I don't really enter locations unless its my favorite spots where I can quickly access it (Home, work, gym). The siri feature works also but you have to talk loud and clear( the other day I can just say " give me directions to the closest canes" and it would understand and route. the microphone isn't sensitive or that great but it works
Nice video, i did the same thing but the front usb port doesnt work no more did i do the wiring wrong or am i supposed to use the usb cable they provide
I already installed it on my 2014 Honda Accord but I have a problem, when I turn off the engine and do not close the key completely, the stereo turns off and at the same time starts again, as if the vehicle's current was low or it requires a fuse. greater protection; Can you help me, I'm from Mexico
I just installed mine and it goes to the after market menu when I hold phone no problem but buttons don’t work on the stock unit, to go to settings, reset tire pressure etc. Buttons only work when inside the after market app. did you have any of these issues? What do you think could be going on?

What about the quality image of reverse camera. I have a 10.2 screen android auto and quality of image when reversing is poor, factory radio have better quality.
i installed this but now when i go to the factory radio the two buttons stop working and i can't turn on the audio, but when i go to the carplay screen both buttons work.
If you get a 2017 accord with the he apple CarPlay already included do I have to still buy this like is the CarPlay that comes with it outdated or does it still work today?

Yes. You are able to use it with your factory radio like normal.

Wireless phone mirroring is pretty self-explanatory while using the unit- TH-cam works and stuff. AndIi think you can mirror it to your phone via usb cable instead but haven't tried that feature yet.

Can you explain little more about the active cancellation noise mine has a sound it’s little annoying

Where do you get those parts?
How is it holding up? From what I've seen the chinese headunits are prone to lagging, crashing, and bad sound quality. Does this system have any reliability issues? How long does it take to pair to carplay wirelessly? Thanks
15 seconds to pair automatically without even taking out my phone from my pocket. So super fast. It 95% always pairs. So I turn on the ignition, and it automatically reverts to apple car play. 1 out of 20 times, there's no sound but all I have to do it hold the phone button to go back to factory radio, and then hold it again to go to aftermarket radio for it to "Reset" and the sound gets up and running. But overall... No lag. Works like a champ. I also upgraded my 4 channel speakers by simply plug & play. No amps. Overall sound quality is good like normal. This is a better alternative compared to other aftermarket head unites because you go through the headaches of trying to retain factory settings aka burying the factory radio inside the car therefore making it un-reachable unless you pry EVERYTHING apart. With this, I retain my factory radio and can do routine oil resets, tmps resets, and also retain the FM/AM radio function.

Have you had any issues when you start your engine? Whenever my car starts and it’s running, the screen flickers. But when the key is not fully in the ignition, just rotated to turn on screen functions, it works perfect. Anybody had something like this?
I had someone reached out to me with this same exact problem. I would re-check your connections again(Watch the video on aliexpress description because they show how the wires are connected), check your battery, and see if there are any fuses that were shorted. After that, I would message the seller directly about the issue as they might have a go-to fix for that issue. I believe one of the people who had the same problem had a 2014 so maybe that year is the problem? not sure.

4:46 screen resolution looks really good. Is that part of the unit or was the screen upgraded too? My 2016 screen looks low res oem…?
It’s OEM screen. Just replaced the control board in the radio unit

Does the “active noise canceling unit” come with the kit?
No. Your stock Honda accord already comes with ANC. But what you need to is unplug it for better sound quality especially if you have aftermarket speakers
Where’s the link for it?
My driver-side door speaker start buzzing when the unit goes into car play mode, but work normally when i which back to factory mode. Do you ever have this issue?
I would reset the aftermarket unit. its an option in the settings. AND calibrate the speakers within the aftermarket unit.
AND unplug the active cancelling unit (ANC) in the car. I believe it's the ANC causing that buzzing issue. You don't need the ANC anyways because it degrades the audio quality
I have after market speakers, and it does make a minimal buzz but not very noticable

Do you have your bluetooth setup in the aftermarket software (one with carplay) or the stock honda software? How does calling work in the aftermarket software?
I currently use it with Apple Wireless Car-play that connects to my phone. Therefore, all audio communications are connected wirelessly from my phone through WIFI & Bluetooth from aftermarket UNIT. The sound quality is pretty good like normal.
I disconnected my phone from the Bluetooth of the stock Honda software because it would interfere with my wireless car-play. (Think of it as two units in one and you can switch from either or)
Calls work on the wireless apple car play but given the feedback from the receiving end from my friend while using it, they said it was sorta not clear but clear enough to understand.
Another thing is that I can activate Siri from the steering wheel buttons, OR say "Hey Siri" and it would recognize my voice which is a pretty cool feature. Also, wireless car play connects to your phone within 8-15 seconds automatically after turning on your car

I do have an aux. But I haven't use it with the aftermarket unit.

When plugging all the cables back in, did you plug all them back in or only the ones they plugged in from the tutorial video?
I used the tutorial reference to help me. but almost everything I think
I plugged everything in, except the yellow video rca.

@Frankie2368 I don't think so. I installed it in my son's car for Christmas Surprise. will check it out more tomorrow but maps, music, phone all work as well as steering wheel controls.

As far as the back up camera does the unit give that any problems? Does it still transition to the back up camera when in reverse?
Absolutely no problems so far. Reverse camera works and it goes back to CarPlay.

make sure all the plug in adapters are plugged in correctly. Refer to the aliexpress link because there's a installation video on how he connects the adapters and wires

Yeah I think so since its electronics. But I just happen to not do that and actually had the car on throughout the whole process lol (Only the unplugging part). Because it was hot as heck since I live in Texas. But I would recommend you to just turn off the car to avoid any shortages

@@Dwijesh91 i got a few adapters from the box. On aliexpress product listing, there's a step by step installation video where he displays the cable adapters and where to connect it. I would refer to that video
Is the mirroring working fine with iPhone on this??
No at first but yes after re-connecting. With the initial connection, it crashes like after 20 seconds where I have to re-connect to it again. After reconnecting, it works and does not crash.

It was the motherboard that was swapped. I pryed out the control knob and transferred it on to the new motherboard
@@Demidannyy I ordered one for my car and it will be delivered in couple of days. how easy is it to pry the control knob? I'm afraid i don't do any damage to the motherboards
easy. there was like 3 tabs holding the outer shell of the control knob. I would use a thin flat head screw driver and slowly pry each of it out (Barely pry it evenly all around before taking it fully off) It took like a good minute to carefully pry it out. @@vivekdoijode3467

@@CarlosAguilar-dj4ph It does not, depends on the year. I have a 2013 Accord with Dual Screens and I dont have CarPlay. CarPlay probably did not exist in 2013.

yes reverse camera still works. When in reverse, it toggles to the reverse screen, just like factory.

i would refer to the install video from aliexpress tomake sure you're plugging in the cables in correctly into it's right spot. but my buttons is working fine on factory mode, and aftermarket mode.
