Very good. Bits of Top Secret Drum corps 2006 and a bit from Simon Grant there aswel on the backsticking flams. Great drummer though very good i liked :)
@lowfiwhiteguy they are two entirely different disciplines...its like comparing a cellist to a bass guitar player... a kit player will take those rudimential skills learned early in their career and transfer them to two surfaces while playing with both feet, and a snare player will develop them into something entirely different, neither can be described as better, or as you like to put it, harder, than the other
Well, you are sort of right...Jim I believe has pretty much beaten him most times in solos and drum corps comps..but really, they are both magnificant snare drummers who no doubt have a huge amount of respect for each other and there really isn't much between them..honestly.
I must emphasise that I personally don't think kit drumming is boring...a top kit drummer is awesome to watch and listen to...it is just that I think that this discipline is alot more technical (in its purest form)...this is just him playing around with more simpler type rudiments for show...you can't play the real technical stuff that he does on a kit...that's my point..but yes, I concede kit can be more fun to play!

Mate, check out a site call "Gusweb" dot org"...you'll find it..it shows this guy and a number of other top exponents competing for the world solos titles - that is pretty much as technical as it gets...with execution that in my opinion is peerless in the drumming world...just not mainstream and cool - so unfortunately will never get much mainstream attention.
He just judged us this past weekend and we placed first in drumming. We are stoked to win with such a prestigeous judge as Eric.
So good and sooo different from corps style rudimental drumming. I love it!

Eric was part of the great Alex Duthart drum corps back in the 80's. Fantastic! He was the king of pipe band drumming.

not bad, but times him by 30 and you've got the Basel 'Top Secret' Drummers who are way and above any drummers i've ever seen
better to slow down then to sound bad.... it isnt all about speed
getting old, slows doon during the back sticking :-(
this guy is amazing, but its not all about flips. the twirls he kept doing were getting annoying even though they are awsome.
