Steve, my Mother lives around the corner from the restaurant in Lincoln Heights that you featured and I have never tried it. Now thanks to you, I will be going there no doubt! Love your channel content. You are going to grow your channel very quickly. Keep bringing us the great food.

What can I say Steve, another great video! I had question but, you answered it in the notes by saying 'merchandise coming soon'. I will be glad to support your efforts in that way.

I go to Sol Agave in San Clemente. They are fancier but the quality is great (awesome Happy hour!) and the staff make you feel so welcome.

This is a tough one since there's literally thousands of Mexican places in LA. Your opinion is less biased I think because you grew up as a Korean.

The Carne Asadas location you went to used to be a Mexican restaurant that specialized in tamales. This was a few years before Covid. It was excellent. I need to try out this "new" one now.

I grew up in LA and Mexican food is apart of who I am. It was always around the house. My mom was always making it. In fact when we traveled to different cities, we would always judge a town by how good thier Mexican food is. I'm a basic kind of guy. Cheese enchiladas, rice and beans is how I get a reading on how good a place is. Unfortunately, the Mexican restaurants that I grew up with there in LA are no longer there. However, the last time I was in LA I did get to have some Mexican food from one of my recent favorite places, The El Coyote off of Beverly Blvd in LA. love Mexican food! Thanks for the upload.

Hi Steve love your content. I definitely got to try more of the spots you've been at. My daughter is vegetarian/vegan. Please think about doing a series on vegetarian/vegan food. We're from the SGV and she Asian part native American

Steve, I was elated to see you chose this as the winner, because it looked real good, HOWEVER It was a huge fail for us. The carne su jugo was over the top tomatillo sauce, sweet and no other beefy or broth flavor, just basic. The other dish was the green chilaquiles that were soggy no crunch or texture and bitter tasting. Lastly was the taco dorado/potato that was actually really good with their special tomato sauce. They should use that for some of their other dishes. All and All, Steve you're on point with all your reviews! Loved HolBox, and Rappahannock (Lobster sandwich) and Mandarin Noodle House, Lamonicas's NY Pizza, Oakobing (Matcha shaved ice) Next stop: Sol Agave

Hey Steve, i was wondering if you would do a mini series on Coastal Mexican food/Baja Seafood. but some of the more unique places. there are a million mariscos joints that all have same old menu. they always do fried fish tacos, seafood cocktails, the same ceviches, etc etc. i want to see some unique cool places.
im talking smoked marlin and cheese tacos, whole grilled red snapper, agua chiles, mahi mahi (dorado), shark!

Monte Alban is one of the best Mexican restaurant in LA. Grandma is making everything by hand old school with clay pots and clay oven, 12 kinds of moles. It’s Oaxacan and beautiful

Best beans on the planet 50 miles from LA -- 301 Cafe in Placentia. Cooked in lard and maybe 30% cheese - almost burned. Amazing chili rellanos, chili Colorado, and the pickled veggies are amazing. Tacos not so much burritos are good to great CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP check them out. You feel like you are eating in the 50's old style decor.

Just recently went to Carne Asada Pancho Lopez restaurant I don't know if they changed owners, or cooks or if that's the quality of food you tasted Steve but I was tremendously disappointed nothing at all special about the place the cooks were Salvadorian even the owner if that was him the food was bearly ok it didn't have the authenticity of Mexican food I hope you go back and try it again and let us know if it's the same because this place is not it 1-5 stars I'd give it a 1.5 for effort in their part but I would never go back there again @RockStarEater
